I'll admit I have my reservations about Sara as Ariel. She's an excellent performer, she just doesn't channel Ariel at all. One thing I do appreciate about her though is how her interpretation of the character creates a more mature Ariel. I feel as though many actresses see her as just this sugary, distracted, hyper teenager. I appreciate how Sara's performance conveys the depth and maturity of Ariel's situation that often gets overlooked, even by Disney at times.

I've probably watched this show over 100 times now. I can't over how great it is. I agree with Zach. Sarah did put some more emotion like when she gives Darren a longing look and turns her head. Beautiful. Been a big fan of Darren since Glee. If they ever do a live action version of the musical as a movie Darren would be a great choice for Eric. That last note just blows me away every time.
