I think I have a better reason why Photons have momentum without mass. Sir, please correct me if I'm wrong: Let's start from the basics of matter and energy. We know that if a object has mass, then this mass is actually concentrated energy, that is given by the equation E= mc²( object at rest). So if the same object starts travelling with some speed, the momentum is given by p=mv. This means that mass imparts the object momentum, and since mass is a function of energy, as given by m=E/c², then what we can conclude is that if any particle has energy, it will definitely have momentum. If we use this logic, I suppose it will be clear why photons have some mass, even if their rest mass is zero(i.e. when v=0, mass of photon is zero). Since photons carry energy which is a function of the frequency f and E=hf, and also from mass energy equivalence, m=E/c² =>> m= hf/c², which if calculated gives a value of mass( though very small). Hence, photons carry momentum owing to this mass calculated above.

As you know energy can not be created and neither be destroyed, it can only be transformed into one to another. For example when you speak you create sound waves from your throat and mouth. You get energy for speaking by eating food you eat(solid), water you drink(liquid) and air you breath(gas). You may be thinking how air is energy, I will say then imagine your self holding your breath and trying to do other things which you do daily like eating, reading, running, speaking. Do not try this no one will be able to even I can't.
