I think he ran into a ring at it acted like a wall. I remember that happening in the original because the rings were treated like solid objects sonic could run on and run into. Imhave no idea why they programmed it like that.

I got all of those as they came out. They really feel like P-06 Prototypes, especially the Crisis City one with all the new flames and where Iblis’s tornado form can indeed catch and kill you if it slows you down too much though his “particle” textures are different and there’s no animation of Sonic getting sucked in up the vortex. Other than that, the main differences are the rather realistic volcanic heat haze around the whole level (which seems to be achieved with tinting?), it lagged my old laptop like hell as that’s when I played it, and Sonic’s homing attack is the shitty curved one from the Legacy of Solaris mod, causing you to miss what are otherwise easily reachable and _required_ jumps, such as during the plasma wind tunnel sequence before the tornado chase.

I never owned 06 but when I was really young (like before kindergarten young) my dad used to take me to this barbershop that had an Xbox 360 in the waiting room lobby area for kids and I would always play this level as shadow and a little bit of free riders

Compared to P06, it’s like Colors Ultimate (this remaster) and Rerainbow (P06). Where P06 is the definitive remake of 06 with tons of additions, this remaster has tons of problems with the base game, just showcasing the base game with stupid “bloom effects”.

Tbf if they remade sonic 06 I'll actually be happy coz I love the game even though it has a lot of things that needs to be improved but its also a great game... Ppl needa stop hating on it coz not gonna lie Sega was rushing coz they was making 2 games buthad to finish sonic 06 before the year 2006 ends but its all your opinions just try the game again and let me know if you changed your mind or not coz it's not as bad as people claim it to be they probably complete the first mission and say its bad coz the first mission is boring but cmon ppl back in them day's game quality was sort of bad but y'all still liked it... It exists because of those old prototypes: it simply took what they did and made it way better, plus it wasn’t a mere single stage. I do miss Crisis City’s tint filter or smog from the proto versions though: P-06 doesn’t keep it.
