@@AdamTanPercussion dude. Seriously. i would love to buy that if you ever made it. Can't think of anything nicer than marimba Christmas music playing on loop throughout the house over the Christmas holiday. Especially if it sounds anything thing like THAT!

I got a pair of your mallets and as soon as I tryed them out my marimba sounded completely different they are so amazing. If anyone ever wants new mallets they are definitely the ones to get.

You’re style is so wonderful. i love how melodic it is. Your solos are always so wonderful and unmistakably your style. But I also love how you are able to change to other styles so well. I’m not sure if you did this on purpose but at about 2:15 the style changed and reminded exactly of Pius Cheung’s specifically with the runs up and down and the octaves in the right hand. Anyways, another wonderful performance I always am always so entranced by your playing!!

Hey, Adam! I am a pretty new subscriber, and I am trying to catch up on videos from the beginning. I'm also a bit of an odd-ball. I'm, like a geezer compared to most of the people here. I just turned 50 and my wife and I ordered me a marimba. Counting down the days until it arrives. I was a percussion major in college, so I have a box full of a variety of mallets, but I'm looking to get into a great graduated set as I am re-entering the marimba world. ALSO - marimba literature and style has changed significantly since I graduated in 95, so the new mallets, in my mind, are going to usher in a whole new style of playing for me. I'm pretty excited to learn your pieces and others where voicing plays more of a role than most of the literature I played in college. WITH ALL OF THAT SAID... I'm down to a few ideas on ordering or creating a set of graduated mallets. For someone who is trying to learn this style of playing, could you rank these in order of recommended for a warmer, medium-heavy mallet set? (I'm assuming the ATs will be #1. That's OK. :0) Adam Tan, Kana Omori, Nanae Mimura, MT Grand Soloist, VF Van Sice multi-tone. Your reviews have brought me a LONG WAY in making this decision, but wondering if you have any final insight? (don't know if you can even mention the couple of non-encore series per contracts!) Thanks for your insights, or if anyone else would like to chime in that has experience with many of these sets.

Hey it's never too late to get back into it, welcome back!! Hmm with the mallets (of course I'd put AT as no. 1 for me personally haha so I won't put mine here) in order of most to least preferred - Nanae, Kana, and a tie for Grand Soloist and Van Sice multi tone (these two are not really that warm and are relatively mid in weight). Between Nanae and Kana I'd say Nanae is the more articulate and less weighty one, and Kana the opposite, and mine feels lighter than both of these but is warmer than NM and has a bigger head. Hope that helps!

Wow… amazing interpretation of silent night. I have a video idea. My video idea for your channel is learning burton grip and playing a solo just as good as you would play it with Stevens. And all of this is done within a certain time like 1 or 2 hours. Just a thought, but I’d like to see something like that
