I think Josh being the puny punk he was put something in her food and then suffocated her while she slept. Because I think susan could have overpowered him in a fight. They never found a bunch of blood or anything. And yeah he tried to clean the couch but it would have left residue so I think that's what happened. If he did it on the couch sometimes a small amount of blood and mucus comes out and that could be what he cleaned up. But anyway, He suffocated her put her in the van told the kids she's sleeping and "camping/ body dumping" they went.

Extremely tragic to the extreme!! As the victim of similar abuse, control and manipulation I can only imagine Susan's pain. That the various departments all failed her and her children, that even when there were all these red flags the child protection agencies did little, as did the courts, that's beyond reprehensible!!!! Australia, sadly, is no different!! In my situation there has been an extremely creepy male family member who's raised over a dozen red flags, yet the police, DCP and even the courts have done nothing at all!! The "other parent" in my situation has, just earlier in the year, had desires to kill our daughter, has spent close to a month then another week latter on in a lock down psychiatric ward, they're on strong meds that they've been failing to take, countless verifiable delusions, history of self harm, barely functional, barely bonded to the children as I've been their primary caregiver since they were born!! They literally have slept next to me every night since their earliest of days, their hand on my heart often, and yet they've been completely ripped away by the other parent and none of our nation's institutions have chosen to act in their best interests!! I won't be at all surprised if one day I read the news and find it's my own family on the cover. It's tragic that we don't have an ability to act preemptively!!! Young lives matter!!! My heart goes out to families dealing with the insanity of "reunification" with abusive, controling, manipulative partners who nearly always manage to continue their abuse through the legal system even!! Extremely sad and something desperately needs to change!!!!

The issue isn't that they never arrested Josh, the issue is they never discovered any evidence that allowed them to legally arrest Josh. You aren't able to just 'know' someone's guilty and arrest them, it doesn't work like that. My question was always how Josh was able to make his wife disappear and do it in a manner that did not leave any evidence sufficient to legally warrant his arrest. He certainly didn't seem the criminal genius type given his impromptu winter camping with his kids. Why couldn't the police find anything that allowed his arrest?

What makes this case so sad is no one really knows the truth about what really happened to Susan, I believe the children were coached to some degree so even if they had seen something the night their mother disappeared there's no real way of knowing what's fact and what's false. I think also the police are partially responsible for the reason why Josh snapped, especially when they knew that he could end up doing harm to himself and those little boys, sadly now no one will know for sure what happened to her if he really was telling the truth and she ran off w someone, (which I find suspect now, I would think she would've come out of hiding after finding out Josh and her children are dead), or if she's in grave somewhere and no one has found her body. All we have now is stories and speculation.
