If stop and start function doesn't work (Ford Focus Mk3) l Focus stop & go function failure

In this video, you can find how to fix auto stop & go function failure (Ford Focus 2011-2018 model).
The other day, the function suddenly didn't work and never came back to normal. So I though it was related with a fuse or the engine. With a couple of trials, I found the issue comes from battery. If your ford does have the same problem, I am sure this video helps.

Tried this this morning after having a service Fords said they would charge £180 just to have a look at the fault. I declined their offer to look. The stop start hadn’t worked for a year and after I tried this it worked on my first stop at a junction. Many thanks.

I had the same problem so done the reset and woked for a week then ended up only working around once a month. So decided to buy a new battery and now it works every time. I've seen on ford forums that the bms reset shouldnt be done on old batterys as it will shorten the battery life and that also jump starting shouldn't be done with stop start batteries as it will shorten battery life which i dint know till i jump started multiple times. Not too sure on the info but just thought i would put it out there that the bms reset may only temporarily work therefore may need a new battery which then you can bms reset once the new one is installed.

Stop Start is also disabled in low battery situations. It maybe that by resetting the battery you are ignoring a low battery problem that will cause you problems later.

Problem may also be alternator. My car was doing the same with stop/start not working and it was diagnosed the alternator not powering the battery. I await it going into garage fir further inspection

If stop start isn't working just go and get your battery checked. Chances are it's low and needs replacing

Hi please assist. When i restart the battery, the auto stop/start works then the following day it goes back to not working so i have to restart the car battery every day for the function to work. What could be the cause ?
