Now honestly (yes I do know they are making the animated Mario movie) if Mario was to get another live action that more faithful to the original series, I would want characters from the series to look as "realistic" as they can, realistic as basically having a "realistic" texture to their original design, like maybe Bowser is presented as like an eight foot snapping turtle beast, Donkey Kong (and perhaps Diddy Kong as well) looks like actual primates with a slight appearance change, Yoshi looks like himself but with a realistic dinosaur twist, and if I were to make a plot, it would be similar to the original "worse" Mario movie from 1993 (I use worse in quotations in terms of how the film was), but would basically follow Mario and Luigi as two middle aged brothers living in Brooklyn, NY who get called to like an abandoned place or something, to fix a plumbing issue, but are somehow either forced in there, and they end up in the Mushroom Kingdom, a place which basically defies law. Only a man can imagine.
