Does memory just doing tricks with me or, have you done Shrek's Fairytale theme? If you haven't played that, how's that theme would translate in to the form of tender and romantic anime tune. But of course I can also do that, because I can play that theme too.

Dunno if it makes sense musically or even as a guitar arrangement, but the Queen's Gambit has always given me huge anime vibes. Have a look through the OST. The "Main Theme" or " The Final Game" are probably the most iconic instrumentals from the show. Green Hill Zone should be possible to give a similar treatment as the SMB theme. Breaking Bad also has a sweet 1 minute version of its opening. It's largely percussive but you can probably make it shift towards something more melodic. If you wanna tap into something trending, maybe you'll have options with Down By The River from the BG3 OST.

I’m so glad someone caught that!😂 I’ve not used any particular anime as inspiration, but I’m definitely over in the happy/uplifting shows from the 80s/90s genre wise.
