Great discussion on these changes. The reality is going to be that every (both) majors are basically going to be SI open qualifiers now. For SI points I imagine it's going to be very difficult to take a top 8 finish and not qualify for SI off that alone. If you're a T2 team that can run the gauntlet you'll probably get nearly there from that alone.

They are basically forcing all regions to run a Copa elite 6 against challenger teams for a chance at the major. This is gonna hurt everyone but apac si points-wise the same way CE6 hurt latam last year with their gimmicky placement points

The only reason the copa elite system fucked brazil was because they were the only region with the system, when it’s all of them it makes a lot more sense

I think everything here is really great, very exciting. But APAC needs to lose some major spots

Obviously a bit strange how they’re approaching this and small regions are gonna get way more opportunities but I’m gonna wait to see how this all plays out. Definitely wish the big 3 got a few more guranteedphase 1 spots. The points breakdown is definitely a concern for me too easy for apac to get points
