Is it really LUCK if one team executes better than the other? It’s a FOUR QUARTER game, it’s never about ONE single play.
@ZlothZlothАй бұрын
It's about luck AND skill. For instance, in that last play, if the ball had been hiked when the QB was looking more forward, he might have caught it or at least could have fallen on it faster. That's luck. When the defender fell on the ball and covered it such that the offense couldn't get it back from him, that was skill. Football has a ton of both in every single game. P.S. Does anyone want to give some kudos to the fans? If they had let that drive into Chiefs' territory turn down the crowd noise....

@ZlothZloth No. 70,000 Chiefs fans at Arrowhead stadium screaming their faces off to where the Quarterback and Center cannot communicate with eachother is NOT LUCK! You are able to see how and why something happens, yet you still want to attribute the cause to luck?

Mahomes is just incredible. That’s where a lot of the luck comes from. Had a 50 TD season in his first season as a starter. If he’s able to replicate Brady’s leadership, and combine it with his vastly superior mobility than Brady had, he’s going to be a killer, and that’s why he already has 3 rings. He has a superior comeback drive percentage to anyone else as well, Mahomes is statistically the comeback king. But oh no I’m glazing.

Great analysis as usual. I do disagree that a FG instead of turning it over would have changed the outcome. Time, score, field position, down and distance factor into every single play call. If the Raiders get the field goal, every subsequent play call is based on a different, new score. So the plays and coaching decisions from both teams would change accordingly. There are simply too many factors to equate a maybe FG early in the 3rd qtr to 3pt difference of the final score. Everything after that play would be based on a different situation. That aside, your videos and analysis are the best there is. Keep up the great work.

@13:45 safety should've taken the top route, and the corner should've jammed then got to the motion man knowing the blitz was happening and the safety's coming from 12yds plus. Could've been a 6yd gain, no gain, int/pbu or a sack. Or am i seeing that wrong?
@LegitJonexАй бұрын
The corner on the left locked the WR since he’s the widest on the ball and can’t motion. If 10 had motioned across the formation it would have played out like you suggested to the right side, as you can see the safety is communicating with the other safety who is beginning to roll down. The LB is involved who is also pointing and the corner is beginning to loosen his alignment. That motion would have more than likely created a spacing issue where the rolling safety would of had to run too far if 10 burst to the flat towards the field so everyone was ready to adjust vs the 3 WR bunch formation which would have placed the backer on the inside WR(#3), the safety on the middle WR (#2), and the outside corner on the widest (#1) to prevent not getting beat my alignment. This isn’t an issue on the left side because they are in the boundary. There isn’t as much field which allows for the corner locking the man in coverage pre snap. The safety is still in good position when the ball is caught by 10 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage, he just has to make that tackle. Great question tho 🤝

I have watched every Chiefs game this year. I have noticed one thing that happens time after time. Mahomes has pressure on him. He runs for his life to avoid being sacked. Out of desperation, he throws the ball away before the defense buries him. Somehow, some way, every time he desperately tries to just get rid of the ball before he gets his head knocked off, there just happens to be a receiver there to catch the ball that Mahomes thought he was just trying to get rid of. How many QBs trying to get rid of the ball accidently discover that there happened to be a receiver standing just where he thought there was nobody. Answer is none, only Mahomes. You can't tell me that isn't just the most luck anyone has ever had in the history of the human race. If it weren't for pure luck, but only skill, the Chiefs would be 1-15, not 15-1. 😮😮😮 Every week, week after week, I just can't believe my eyes.

@ I understand taking the points but it’s no guarantee that the raiders will be up 20 to 19 with the ball in their hand at the end of the 4th. We don’t know if the raiders is going to get another touchdown if they kicked the field goal. Anyway I was talking about the raiders last play. That was bad execution not a bad coaching decision. You got to call a spade a spade.
@bookman7409Ай бұрын
@@LegitJonex Generally speaking I agree with you, but I'd say not to come down too hard on Pierce, and I'm saying this as a KC fan. His problem was that the field was loose and a little slick, and is arguably the cause of one of their TDs due to the coverage man slipping. On top of that his kicker went 1-4 on the day and it was very short yardage. Maybe they should've just run a sneak, but there's the field issue again. Sometimes there are no good options, and you have to guess which one's least bad, which was the case that Sunday. Perhaps it was the prospect of moving the ball farther back by 8 if the FG was missed that tilted the balance for AP on that one, but I don't think it's fair to judge that decision entirely off of conventional wisdom calls. That was not a conventional field at the time. I'm liking your breakdowns, though I still favor my old friend, Daniel Harms. Probably just because I know him better, but he's plenty sharp.

I can see how it can be a little confusing if you aren’t used to it but this style is similar to a film session inside of a football meeting room. This is well done, but reality is that a top tier team shouldn't be relying on a good run stop to beat one of the worst teams in the league. There's no world where it should take this close a game to beat a team that can't win a damn thing this year. Chiefs are better than the Raiders, yeah, but they shouldn't have to be winning by 2 points.If they were as good as they're supposed to be then they'd have won this far, far more easily.
@LegitJonexАй бұрын
Every week is a battle. Even when facing the teams sitting at the bottom of the league. That’s why teams are so happy post game. Small margin between the top and bottom but that what’s makes the NFL so good. A lot goes into a win and all you need is one point more than the other team. But with that said the Chiefs will continue to be tested in the playoffs that’s when we’ll see if they are learning how to finish from these close games or if they are out of gas from having to use so much effort to get over each week. Thanks for watching bro
@jordanfry5138Ай бұрын
@@LegitJonex That's real and a good point, and you do a great job breaking down why the Raiders are still a tough matchup. Either way, I don't think you can ignore that other top teams avoid these close games that the Chiefs find themselves in constantly against low level competition. Such a glazer. You just state the things, that fit your argumentation. Why, for exampel, you talk like 2 mins about the first play. Second play you just said "its locked up for mahomes". But thats not true. If you would really analyze it, you would also say, that Mahomes is looking to his right in this play, having literally a player open, while he also could have looked to the left....where, suprise suprise, he got 2 ppl open, cause the one LB cant cover both. Mahomes literally dont saw the leckage in coverage of raiders and just scrambles. And to all worst: the both left side WR, that were fucking wide open, were Kelce and Hopkins. Play #2 is just a bad executed play and u dont fck talk about it, cause it would crush your narrativ. This guy is just a blender.

@@LegitJonex Not really. Play 2 is the all Curls Play, were you said that nothing was open and went on. There were 3 ppl open. Im not critizising, what you show, but how you talk about it. @LegitJonex25 күн бұрын
You’re right the screen was play 3. Play 2 2:27 pressure gets in the pocket and Mahomes steps up. He doesn’t hit Kelce in flat due to the rolled corner playing cover 2. Can’t get to the inside out from #3 because of the pressure. He slides for a yard instead of a sack. What’s the issue?
@harrymills2770Ай бұрын
Why would you drop your best pass rusher? For a quick pressure from a blitzing DB or LB, due to the disruption of the pass-pro' plan. But when you don't get the quick pressure, your DE/DT dropping in short zone looks like a beached whale.
