It's a trash situation. Basically this karmic person is a mutual friend between me and the "DM" (who is another buddy of mine, we're all in a group of friends and the karmic already knows me). Unfortunately, the karmic is a narcissist and has been gaslighting/manipulating/telling people different things about themselves and so on. BUT, the "DM" person is like the "leader" of the friend group, so the narc attached themselves to them in order to get social status/clout artificially. However, by the time I entered the group, the narc saw that people liked me in the group, and especially took notice that the "DM" person liked me too, so the narc has been on a crusade for about 8 months to try and destroy me (and has been watching us both like hawks). I cut the narc off back in January because I found out they were backstabbing me, and now this "DM" person has to grow a spine and do the same. Thanks for the reading. I'll be back for more.
