If Huey had not lost his hearing I have no doubt he would be impressed with what you guys did here . For anyone to dislike this rendition is obviously not a Huey Lewis fan. My brother at one time had the most popular band in Palm Beach county and went on to try and make it big in Nashville like so many. He an Huey could have been twins and more than once I saw him cause women to cry in their beer when he sang Georgia. Well done guys, well done.

Great job gentlemen. Mad props to the brass section. I just love how your band shines the spotlight on them and other unsung heroes such as the backup singers in other songs (in particular Foreigner's "Waiting For A Girl Like You" which is absolutely mesmerizing). I've seen some not so positive reviews regarding the vocals and while folks are entitled to their opinion, I think "not singing it like Huey" is a flimsy argument. My son is in a metal band (bassist and backing vocals) and one of the things that make them great is that they don't simply imitate an artist. They pay homage to it by doing the song and artist justice by banging it out well and doing so in the way that their band does it best. I thought your vocalist here did a great job. He's a darned good singer, and Huey is not one who is easy to imitate. And again, as artists/musicians I imagine doing a cover goes well beyond simple imitation. It is very sad what happened to Huey and that he can no longer sing. This cover is a fantastic tribute to him and his iconic band. Well done!
