Just want to say, thank you man. I watched the original "I quit video" at one of lowest points in my life. I took that advice to heart and never looked back. I now have been to 19 countries while volunteering and could not be happier with where I am. Without that video you produced, I probably would still be where I was and I would not have taken the chance of a lifetime to buy a one way ticket to explore my passions. Words cannot describe how thankful I am. All I can do is say, thank you.

You’re way younger than me, but I think a majority of my generation looked to our parents to guide our future. Mine pushed work hard, get a good job and work there until you retire. Two years ago it dawned on me that if I followed that plan I would have the same life he had. Then I realized that is exactly what many of us do. If we took the time to look at our parents and where those same choices got them we would make different choices. So many of our parents are exhausted and uninspired. So we need to carve out our own plan if we want to truly be happy.

These types of channels will try and sell you on the idea of being your own boss. This is the lifestyle that they promote. Yet being your own boss isn't a requirement for happiness. Doing a job you enjoy is, and being your own boss can allow you to do that, but it's not the only way. Whether your an employee or your own boss just find something you enjoy.
@skaterat3213 жыл бұрын
Agree with you, not everyone of us can just drop everything and pursue what we want so that we'll be "happy". Happiness is a state of mind. What if I chase my dreams and still end up being unhappy? It ends up being a cycle. Perspective is what matters, shift your mindset, count your blessings, find a way to prevent yourself from getting burnt out. Adapt. The world is facing a pandemic that limits us from travelling. Ironic to what this video is showing. This video is a just romanticized idea of the "perfect" life. And a marketing video to his content creator courses.
@lonkk13 жыл бұрын
@@skaterat321 Yep, a lot of the people who push the "perfect" life are insanely depressed and overworked. The whole idea of watching a video to have someone else tell you what is going to make you happy is already backward. Look at your own life, at your own experiences. When were you the happiest? If you keep looking to external sources to tell you how to be happy, you're just continuing a toxic cycle.
@celiasdream1453 жыл бұрын
Happiness is subjective. If you’re happy with the idea of being an employee that’s totally okay. We all have different dreams and missions in life. This video is not trying to making you believe that traveling and being your own boss is the only way of happiness, that’s not true at all. Success is an individual perception that is not involve with being rich or traveling. Being success is doing what really makes you feel alive and happy

That dream it's talking about was given to him by God, and I believe that a lot of our dreams are actually the same. I grew up thinking God was boring but my life changed when I found out that God takes us on a life of adventure and risk and that's where we really find life. "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Life is for you. Absolutely dope video! "Does anyone in this office have a lifestyle I aspire to live?" Crazy thing to think about.

Social anxiety is untapped strength, not a weakness. The fact that you recognize it means you can do something about it. I used to have major social anxiety. I would physically shake if I had to read something out loud in class. My doctor gave me an anti-depressant, but I didn't like it (I felt like it suppressed my personality). I talked to a counselor and started small and worked my way up to doing a presentation at school (as part of a group). When I graduated, I did Toastmasters and ended up doing stand up comedy (open mics) and improv and completely obliterated it. Now if I ever feel it, I don't care. I take action anyway. I have two things to say how world works. 1) Fear to fail. 2) Mother, brother, friends, etc Opinions kills idea to do something about it.

Protecting your mindset is key. If you hang over people that will drag you down and fill your head with inaccurate information, then you will never become your best self.

@@ZelenoJabko I know things can seem so "out there" but look at guys this Lost LeBlanc. He did it. Why can't she? Why can't any of us? We must believe ourselves fully, every day, every hour, and every minute. I need to remember this myself most times but it's the truth.

I feel like this part of the speech could have been used to: "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition." - Steven Paul Jobs

It's my first comment in one of your videos, but I am here to say that mental health MATTERS and it's as important as "physical" health. My mum almost 2 years ago wasn't happy with her life, with her routine. I WAS THE ONLY ONE that I told her to do whatever she felt like to do at that moment. She was afraid of this and that, and after a few thoughts and some of my advise, she just moved country and started a new life at her fifties!! I am so proud of her and she is really happy now. Guys, life is taking risks!!! Well done. And now, after this comment, I will finish the video because I haven't yet HAHA. Cheers.
