Jacob Brandt actually I disagree. They are emo aesthetically and their melodies are pretty emo, but lyrically they have way more depth than most emo music. They talk about mental illness with a seriously uplifting message instead of romanticizing it or making it seem like a deep or beautiful thing. They make comments on culture as a whole with a genuine goal to make others think, rather than relish in how depressed they are.
@jakeybran5 жыл бұрын
@@ceilingeye but you just described a lot of emo. Emo isn't nearly just "boo hoo look how sad i am" Bayside is another example of an emo band with uplifting meanings. Tabs? For really any of them, but especially heavydirtysoul and fall away. This was so awesome, and sounds better than the originals tbh.

Phoebe Peterman The ones for hds and holding onto you are pretty much just the basslines. Just learn that.

It definitely adds some depth to the instrumentals! Not that there's anything wrong with the original songs, obviously. Overall, really awesome! Side note... If you like twenty one pilots, then you might like our music as well! We're hugely inspired by them, AJR, Panic! at the Disco, and others. If you want to give our music a shot, we'd love to know what you think about it!

Music is Subjective It’s all good! No offense was taken. I know this type of promotion is kinda lame, but it’s one of the few effective ways to actually get people to listen and give us a shot.

Wayside you're right. I mean it'll at least get a few people to listen at the end of the day. I wish good luck for your band!
