Seeing how the pyramids were built isn’t stupid. It’s a huge question about human civilization. I’d also want to see how the head statues on Easter Island got there. Or see what actually happened to Amelia Earhart.
@Jackmitchhell
@Jackmitchhell 4 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure people know how the statues got there. For the sake of the comment, people went out the the island by boat and when they got there it was like an oasis. It had plenty of trees, food etc. And as the civilization grew they ran out of food and they all starved to death and died. And all that was left were the heads.

@duckpondwithoutducks This is just another theory, but it's the best one that they have rn. Apparently there was alcohol on the ship and the people felt that the ship was going to catch on fire. So they got into life boats and tied ropes to the ship, but the ropes ended up snapping and all they could do was watch their ship and all of their goods sail away without them.

I’m pretty sure the mystery is already solved. The Croatoans were at war with the Secotans and the English settlers helped them. The survivors of the colony left to assimilate with the natives Croatoans on Hatteras Island. It was later documented that there were descendants of the natives and colonists with blue eyes. The famous “CROATOAN” carving left on the tree very clearly points to this as well.

Poison ivy spreads when you’ve scratched the spot that you came in contact with the plant and then scratched another spot on your body. The oil from the plant gets up under your fingernails and you end up scratching and creating micro tears in your skin where the oil gets into and then boom... poison ivy rash EVERYWHERE 🥴🥴🥴

Exactly. My sister, who is a landscaper, gets it and it webs her hands and makes parts of her body swell. It's insane. But, if she constantly washes her hands and wears protective clothing, she's good. (Wearing a turtleneck, jeans and gloves isn't always a possibility when working in the summer sun.) I'm honestly shocked she's still a landscaper with how often and how badly she gets it.

I love this episode. Saying this bit over halfway through. My point to Rhett would be that if it WERE aliens, all you're doing is moving the thought process over a step. Where did they come from? Who created them? It reminds me of the thought process some people had (WAY back when) that the Earth balanced on the back of a turtle with each turtle resting on top of another turtle. What is the bottom turtle resting on? One of my temptations would be to see how and why they built Stonehenge. See it being used. Biggest temptation for me would be the construction of Oak Island. Filling between the two islands to make the swamp, the tunnels, etcetera. Why was it constructed as well as how. What was there before it was destroyed or taken away. I don't think much usable is left. Now I am behind and have to finish the last season. I want to know all the answers and actually seeing the work be done would be amazing. I would never have thought on a religious level - intriguing to think of though. I love geology, history, mythology as they apply to religion, etc. They both raised excellent points. I agree with Link. I'd have to have a music related one. Holding to their 24 hr theory, I'd love to have a day in New York's folk Greenwich Village scene in the 60s. Bob Dylan, The Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem, etc.

Rhett - I’m sorry people think you need to be one “label” or the other. Me, I’m glad you put your spin on it. I’ve been trying for a long time to figure out how to describe how I feel about religion “Hopeful Agnostic” is perfect. I believe in God but ultimately believe they just want us to be kind to one another. Gave us the freedom of choice in hopes we would follow them and do what is thoughtful and kind hearted. I don’t believe in those people who say they are religious but then tear you down- it contradicts Gods teachings.

from what i remember from when i was in a zoology class, our current explanation for the cambrian explosion is post development of photosynthesis, the photosynthetic bacteria eventually building up oxygen in the atmosphere over millions of years, and then eventually there was suddenly enough oxygen in the atmosphere to support multiple lineages of aerobically respiring organisms , and these organisms arose relatively quickly due to the efficiency and resource availability afforded to them due to the fact of aerobic respiration . it made it possible to have larger body sizes, increased activity, increased everything as it’s much more efficient than anaerobic respiration. hence, a relative “explosion”. and then some of these organisms preyed on some of the others, and it was a speedway of filling different niches

When I saw the title, my mind also went to the beginning of the universe and beginning of life. But the biogenesis would be impossible to see with the naked eye. I would need to have the equipment and know exactly where it happened.

The Egyptian pyramids, that’s where I’d go. We still have no idea how they were made and it’s an amazing accomplishment. I’d like to view a couple thousand year span with a remote during that time
