that's one of the best and most sound advice I've see from anyone. the only reason i would go for meta is if i want to rush every content but doing so will leave nothing to do except daily routines and some existing events. I'm more laid back, i prefer to take things at a pace so i don't really stress much on units whether meta or not. i'm not a fan of damage too, as long as the characters does the job and I'm having fun, that's good enough for me. the way I see it, whether i skip or not, i will eventually get these characters and clear every content along the way.

Don't regret Skadi at all. That being said too many comments only focused on Hades and Hera. Following the meta is the best way to bore yourself and make the game feel repetitive in my opinion. Pull characters that look fun and who cares if you miss out on like 5 extra exp mods in an event because you only beat stage 11 and not 12 or something. Just have fun. Its a game.

Usually I would disagree with this kind of statement because winning and therefore, dominating in of itself contributes a lot to the fun factor; not following meta gets in the way of that, inefficient, if you will. That said, when it comes to Aether Gazer which have found the right balance between skill-based combat and luck-based progression, the game which you can test-drive everyone before summoning + when they're in costume, I wholeheartedly agree with you.

i agree. well for me, I just really like collecting characters in a gacha game. though i'm a f2p, in my experience as gacha game enjoyer, it's not impossible at all, and that's fun for me. it's not like not having meta characters will make you unable to actually winning the game, that would be just skill issue.

i'm gonna pulled everyone. i'm a collector if i start a game quite close to the official release but i might choose 1 Character to focus on if i start late. As a f2p player, trying to get every characters and actually managed to collect many is so satisfying to me. people have their own way of playing gacha game after all🤗

This is what I have learned from years of playing gacha as F2P. Waifu is life, but meta sure gets rid of the headache. It's never a loss to have at least some meta units in your arsenal. They make the content easier for the casual players, and in the long run will gain back the currency that you use to pull them. And the more important note: The banners will always return, it's fine to skip your waifu for now until she returns. Plus, it will keep you playing longer. You might just end up quitting if you only pull waifu and then become frustrated in clearing content due to your waifu being less than ideal (definitely happened to me before).

For me personally, i like to have a strong character like some kind of cheat code so i can clear content faster; particularly stuffs that involves meta. This way, i can enjoy the other aspect of the game like the characters, since now i have more flexibility on choosing my fav character to pull after that.

i pulled for skadi, but lost 50/50, im now left with 10k shifted stars, and a guaranteed limited banner, ill be aiming for hera and hades, after that hoard all shifted stars til 2.0, its simple. i want to get anubis as well since i have standard banner at guaranteedwith 60 pity already built up. my life in aether gazer is already set to be a happy one, light spender btw.

In my personal opinion I'm ALL rooting for Ling Guang & Jinwu the most cause these two modifiers are absolutely look OP to fight the I'm all about flashing and fire jutsu fighting style & this is how I'm like 100% HYPE (charging super saiyan god mode) XD I could go for Hades her fighting is pets and blades which is cool OH! and Thor too she changes her hair color? haha definitely going for her too

My plan is simple, save everything I have and pull only one copy of Hera, aim for two copies of Hades, and save the rest for 2.0. Also saving all my standard banner tickets for Luliang, the skateboard money girl, on 2.1.

I'm having a lot of fun with the characters that we already have, I play mainly with Buzenbo, Ookuninushi, Artic Poseidon, S Osiris and Verthandi. I plan on building Zenkibo, Hodur, and others "bad" characters as well since I have fun with them. My reasoning for pulling Hera is that she can improve my gameplay with not the strongest characters, and I find Hades gameplay so much fun, like Luliang's gameplay. Also I'm mainly playing this game for the story, while collecting cute and fun characters to play, so yeah, I can keep playing this game having a lot of fun for months without pulling for anyone.

@@bridgesbane7032 also, when you try to handicap yourself by playing harder content with not optimal teams and not the strongest characters, you can have a lot of fun making something hard, harder on yourself, and after you manage to clear a hard stage like that, the sense of accomplishment is way higher, so that in the long term will make me play this game longer. Otherwise if all content I can just clear fast and easy, it would get boring overtime.

My current strongest is Tyr AbLaze. Loving the damage. I mean, he is just at SS-Rank and he nukes entire waves and bosses, even if they have Light Resistance, as long as it is not 100%.

1:32 I was able to clear the hardest content in the game as a F2P even more smoothly than with my Tsukiyomi with an underinvested (In comparison to my Tsukiyomi) Skadi. Just use the blue code, get the crit damage/rate sigils instead of the in-game recommended ones and learn to play her (Never go into crusing mode, etc...). Just saying, for anyone that still wants to pull Skadi.

Ive seen vids where ppl clear endgame in CN with Buzenbo carry. So i dont mind pulling characters that arent t0. Since looking at CN, the game is very much beatable with any units. (Might be wrong if the players are just huge whales or something). Ive even seen a CN tierlist where Verthandi is T1 if u have her Omega. And t1 is still very good. But funny enough my priority is S Hera and maybe Lingguang. Not bc they are meta but purely bc of design. Its only recently that i know they are among the best units lol.

I love how the game doesn't require you to pull dupes cuz it only really add stats ( correct me if I'm wrong I'm new in the game 💀 base on what I saw in game they don't really lock skill passive on dupes compared to PGR & HSR )

Functor +2 for SS is sweet spot most of us aim for. SSS gives u every sigil level and their enchant two levels more and omega gives u option to have only 2 sigils to procc a set. Which means u can have 3 sets instead of 2. Dupes r actually way too good in this game.

Lmfao what's funny is Skadi is actually strong when played right. Her Transformed Skills after 3rd skill is actually extremely powerful specially the Transformed version of her 1st Skill, I hit a 300k(Crit) each Missile of that Transformed 1st Skill People are just overhyped with Hera and Hades, it's understandable, to me, I'm not hyped, I choose who I roll for banners🤷🏻‍♂️

I have a question is it worth it to invest in asura functor. I am f2p and the only character I’ll be actively trying to pull until maybe 2.0 is hera and maybe hades. I’ve heard asura is a functor must have character else she’s not worth the investment.

I think she's worth even without the functor but if she's your main dps and you have the currency to spend then definitely try for it and save for those modifiers you mentioned.

FBG has good advice. just wanna add that Asura is in the DV right now. and if you're still having second thoughts, you can test her with and without the signature functor, different builds and team comps before you decide. take advantage of it and explore how you can get the most out of Asura.

I just started today, and in planning on being f2p for now, but if i end up loving this game I'll move up to L2p. But i have absolutely no idea what to do with my resources. Can anyone give me some beginner tips? Like what free characters are worth investing in, does is matter who i pull/are all characters viable to beat the story mode? Is there a hard endgame mode that i have to do to get premium currency/rewards? Im prett new to gachas, genshin(dropped it a year ago) honkai starrail and recently snowbreak being the only ones I've played so far. And currently i making up for a mistake i made on honkai.(wasted materials to level up characters to use through the story and simulated universe) and i really don't want to make that mistake again

free units worth investing = Buzenbo, Nuadha, Kotachi, Verthandi (B rank), they're tier 1 in CN. fyi, some of them will get buffed in the future. I also built my Poseidon T since she's omega for free and she makes up for my sin in the hazard zone for suck at dodging. my advice is always go 3 sets of sigils (instead of 2) for the A rank characters since you can omega them, so that you don't have to waste resource to change their sigils later on. also make sure about the sigil position, some of them are matters a lot. you can also check the CN tier list and the content of 2.0 update. (add: save the sigil reconstruct for the characters you liked the most or the meta one, they're kind of hard to get)

The problem is the drop rate pity is on Genshin levels, it's not guarantied that you'll get Hera.

its not genshin's level, genshin is way worse. ill give you 4 reason: 1. genshin has 90 hard pity whereas AG has 70 hard pity, meaning even if the drop rate on units are the same, you will get them in AG wayy earlier than genshin 2. Genshin have worse free to play currency compared to genshin. genshin gives: 300 primos for live stream code 600 primos for downtime & bug fix 840 primos for 2 events in 2 banner spans (420 in each banner) 1200 primos for 36 star Abyss clear (600 each in every 2 weeks reset) 1800 primos for 30 days span of dailies totalling up to 4740 primo monthly equates to 29.6 pulls. whereas for ag theres 7200 f2p currency equates to 36 pulls. you can see the major differences you only need 2 months for a full pity in AG, whereas in genshin you need 3 months as a f2p. you cant even get dupes for free?? in genshin 3. If you're a spender genshin is also worse as they don't have bundles like aether gazer 4. You also cannot farm character constellation in genshin its purely Gacha for cons not even for 4 stars cons, whereas AG allows A ranks and standard banners S ranks mods to be farmed for Dupes(you farm intels) as a lvl 60 genshin player that has played since day 1, i feel offended that you say AG is as worse as genshin's gacha. genshin is way more stingy, with event rewards they were stingy AF during launch giving only a few pulls, but AG has better rewards during event launch til now compared to genshin, this game is just greater than genshin, its on a whole another level.

I think you're both not wrong. AG's pity does have a similar system with the 50/50 and guaranteed after failing like Genshin, but it also requires fewer pulls compared to Genshin. One point I have doubt with is the farming. Cmiiw but I believe intel crests only come from pulling dupes of fully transcend characters, and only same tier of that character rarity (eg S intel only comes from dupe of a fully transcend S character). Yeah farming is possible but I feel it's going to take a very long time especially for limited S characters

@@skythz85 atleast you can farm for dupes, but in genshin's case there no such thing as farming for dupes or constellation what ever you call it, dupes in genshin is pay walled. Atleast in this game if you dedicate enough time you can SSS ANY non limited unit (this may change as well to every single unit) All you have to do is pull the unit once as a f2p and you can SSS that unit. You can omega it but that will take too much time.

Who cares about meta units...play whoever you want. Dont meta slave yourself and become bored with the game. When I pulled Rahu randomly and started playing her, I couldnt stop. Now I dont even care about the banners but just pulling dupes for my Rahu hahaha. I am sad I missed Osiris Banner though....she looks fun.
