Wow there must be something in the air. I’ve just walked away from my toxic narc best friend and our 30 year friendship I’ve been hanging on to because I was afraid to let go. Since I walked away I feel more alive, motivated and lighter. The drama followed her and I was exhausted after every contact from listening to her chaos. This 43 year old woman has been holding me down all my life. Finally I am free and have made space for new people on my frequency. 🙏🏼🦋💙

I know I just let go of a friend too but maybe she also deserves someone who says no and does not put up with everything. In the long run people who never understand or tries to give anything are a bit exhausting. Still I feel guilty as if I ought to help her out but whatever I did , it did not help anyway so maybe people just outgrow each other 😢

Awareness is crucial. I use this technique at work to cut the toxic BS. I purposefully walk away from negative talk mid conversation. It may be considered rude to them but to me, wasting minutes of my life to talk about your toxic issues is considered rude to me. My time is valuable so if you don't have anything constructive or positive to say, I will just leave! Their issues is not my problem, so why burden me with it. I'm not liked and I don't care! They don't pay my bills. Over time you will find they'll stop talking to you. At work, I sit by myself for lunch on a different time slot from everyone else. My focus is to get through the working day and go home to the people I love the most - My children. Life is too short for all this nonsense! Silence is power, removing yourself from toxic surroundings is just as powerful. Protect your peace at all cost!

I love your message there. We don’t attract what we are, we attract what we need. So often we get stuck in accepting poor treatment, instead of realizing it’s teaching us something. We don’t deserve to be treated badly, we deserve to stand up for ourselves and our boundaries to feel safe and grow. Beautiful reminder Aaron, thank you so much.

@@angie7278 what about this shows they were inflicting what their expectations were upon you? Releasing that aspect from your subconscious from the facts as they are, the reliance upon you is still emotionally tolling. All situations are temporary, I forget this when I’m trying to find a solution. I need to feel free from what is causing me to feel oppressed, or frustrated or imposed. I can definitely relate to the opposition of freedom and subconscious attachment. The more you listen to your thoughts, give them the value and space to be heard, the easier it is to let go of what is keeping them stuck in the creation of your circumstance. It almost frees them up to be like “whew I just needed to get that thought off my chest,” and then it feels better. Thinking less is a powerful idea, but we can’t just turn the thoughts off when they are ambushing us. We have to tap into the thoughts for intuitive guidance. Release what is from instinct in thought and tap into the intuitive thoughts. You recognize the pull back into the situation you instinctively ran from to survive. What does your intuition think about how to heal from it? Only you know.

I realised a few years ago that I was a 'fixer' and attracting narcassists due to both my parents being the same way. I became very disliked once I stopped being everyone's psudeo therapist. To the point that I started to think that I was the narcassist because everyone started to either drop away or turn against me. I'm still coming out of it. It's such a hard process, especially if you were once a chronic people pleaser and loved by everyone to standing up for yourself and creating contrast everywhere you go! I'm not sure if I've perhaps swung too far the other way 😳

Matter of fact if you really want to break free from a narcissist, you gotta play dumb and boost their ego! Once I tried a small church joined the worship team. I found out two people were narcissistic and the rest were nondependent. They were all abused and were so used to that environment. I spoke out and called them out for manipulating hurting others and only cared about power and control. Of course the head pastor and wife they all were narcissistic and in a clique. Remember trying to protect yourself from something is manifesting more unsafe situations .

This was so good. I’m getting better at releasing emotionally unavailable people as they are familiar to my parents who are also emotionally unavailable. It hurts to let go but I know the version of me thats surrounded by emotionally available is most likely a BEAST at rejecting emotionally unavailable people because she’s too available and authentic about the way she feels for those type of people to feel comfortable to be around her.

Yes, you are right about toxic elements from childhood coming through into your life for ever if you don't grasp that nettle! I had a miserable time growing up but I seemed to have some guidance or insight quite early on . Reading lots of self help books later on when there were things that didn't sit well, so I started taking note and joining groups to this effect, teaching myself to go 'visit my inner child' and to examine things internally and talk with myself. Of course you either grow thicker skin or thinner skin. You become empathic and know things that others don't get. Toxicity exists on the outer layers of humanity but recognising it is the key, you have to continue to, face fear and conquer it, hiding from it will not help. You can love people on a different level too. Good video.

I literally have been thinking about this so much. I also just started reading the book Letting Go and it's resonating already. I love your book recommendations! I have been so dissatisfied, drained by, annoyed, disappointed by so many of the friends I've had over my adult life. It's no wonder Ive distanced myself/cutoff from so many and find myself wondering how I end up here when I've done nothing but be a drama free, good friend. It's why so many want back in but I'm not interested. I figured out because of your videos, it validated what my intuition was telling me was that Ive never found people I've naturally vibed with. People who have different values, lifestyle, behaviour, beliefs, people who are insecure or fat when I am neither, these are the types that I felt dissonance with. It's always been me, a very sensitive empath, meeting people where they're at because I could tell they couldn't meet me where I'm at. It's such a lonely feeling. I've been in this lonely state since 2018 after a dark period, then that spiritual lightness, then a depressing, lonely period of not even wanting to let people in. I'm only now getting back to being open to allow new people in my life. But this time I will be A lot more conscious of peoples vibes, I'm more clear about who I want to exchange energy with, as Aaron talks about here, if you're super sensitive to energy, then you have to be super selective. I've always just gotten in where I "fit in" but never felt like I belonged. Same feeling in my family. Parents are emotionally distant, I never get the kind of presence, and caring I so need. It's very triggering which is happening now. A lot of anger, sadness, feeling that not good enough for unconditional love feeling, etc. How do I release this??

Being aware of your behavior is one thing, but it goes deeper than that. Understanding attachment theory. Know which one you are dominantly in and understand the opposite attachment you attract. Once you understand that. Then you need to do the hard work and do inner child mediation to go back to the core wounds while also including breath work. Be gentle on yourself because it will take time. We been programmed since child birth in an environment that wasn’t so healthy. It’s baked into our subconscious so we must be aware of what type of attachment we have then use those tools I mentioned to work on it daily to rewire those subconscious ways.

I was heavy, and found men were often cruel and dismissive and women were sweet and doting in a gross way. I lost weight, and found it's exactly the opposite on the other side. And I have a heavy distrust of women in general because of my mother. It's like I stayed heavy to protect myself from the cruelty of women and sexual exploitation of shallow, manipulative men.

I followed your teachings step by step , which are : !. Your zone of genius. 2. Focusing on enjoying maths everyday and on the growth of my students and not on the salary. 3. Focusing on building momentum. 4. Removing limiting beliefs surrounding math and its teaching. 4. And clearing my energy field through Ho prayers, and 5. And praying and wishing to Allah regularly for what I am wanting. Thanks a lot for your videos. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

I've watched a lot of your content lately. A lot of what you say is very useful and wise, but this stands out in a way that nothing you've said before (that I've seen) does. This sums up so much of my life, and those of the women I've loved. My family. My current purpose, the path I've been walking since I moved cities to get sober. Thank you Aaron.

It's also fitting that about two months ago, in the pit of self-destruction and co-dependency before I left that life behind, I started writing a song Chorus: "Living outside ourselves Push it all farther, past the frame Looking inside ourselves But not really liking what we see Talk about a whole lot of nothing Doing even less with the means to be Never going to wake tomorrow when All of our dreams burn here again, today" I didn't know about "the frame", I was thinking about it from a perspective of looking at a painting and not seeing the content, distracted by anything other than the painting in front of us (self-indulgence etc). How little did I know, how fitting this would be in the coming months. I was writing from a position of pain (it's a grunge/90s vibe song) and now I'm walking a better path to not be that character anymore
