IF YOU CUT TREES ➡️ YOU NEED ONE OF THESE!

My son and I use a giant slingshot-like device that shoots the shot bag way up into the trees we are cutting (125' pines). The slingshot end sits on the top end of a 5' tubular rod. The slingshot is cocked back and locked in place by a release trigger. The bag is put in place, the pole is aimed at the point of the tree we want to snag, the release trigger is pulled, and off goes the bag. It works quite well and is a lot easier to use than potentially many repeated tries using your own body as the propulsion method. I'm 69 years old so I like it very much.

I'm a ham radio operator and have hung many wire antennas in trees. A sling shot with a fishing reel and a weight similar to yours works great too.

I use a golfball with a hole drilled in it. Use heavy monofilament line. Instead of throwing it you can hit it with a tennis racquet. 👍

Hey man love your videos , will you do a video on hanging a tree.. rope through stout limb above target tree then rope tied into the canopy of target tree..working end of rope run through a friction device at the base of the gin pole .. cut target tree into gin pole and block it down while someone lets the target tree down slowly and controlled . Man that would be so helpful to see how all the preliminary rigging is done. Thank you and keep up the good work!
