My 2 cents: Skills: Ability learned by study and practice. Anointing: Spiritual empowerment to perform excellently in a particular physical or spiritual endeavour. It can manifest in spiritual gifts or unusually heightened physical abilities. It was usually preceded by the pouring of oil (as in the anointing of kings, priests and temple servants in the old testament), or an impartation of the Holy Spirit by prayer/laying on of hands (new testament). Favour: Is God's or a man's disposition/inclination/willingness to show kindness/compassion to a man. Grace: Is often used in Christendom to indicate a benefit a man receives which is not earned or deserved by his efforts. In vey strict terms, it refers to the remission of sins and the salvation of the believer as wrought by the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is also used as an alternative word to refer to the anointing. In much looser terms, it is used to describe favour (especially when the recipient has not done enough to deserve it.)

Anointing is a spiritual empowerment to carried out a specified goal or mission but grace is sort of help of another unseen assistance that aids you to perform or carries you on that mission ( the grace of God) David said is not the power or arms of Israel that do the fighting but God that's grace. Good! But he has also given you all things that pertains to life and godliness, yet you don't have all things, you still have to receive as a separate event... Grace has provided the anointing already, but receiving and walking in the anointing works with conditions such as consciousness and knowings. God has provided grace even, yet Paul will pray that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened, doesn't mean it is that moment God decided that we need enlightenment, but the apostle was seeing a need and so the need to pray to receive that which had been provided... You get it?

@@OwenGeeAndre I was specifically speaking of this false teaching on anointing. Too many false teachers and churches out there prey upon the unstable and young or ignorant believers and they need to be exposed . I know that all I need in serving the Lord is provided. There's no waiting to receive gifts or anointing. Enlightenment is simply having more of the word opened to us as we grow , study and seek God
