Also, Bischofia javanica is a medium to large deciduous tree, typically reaching heights of 30-50 meters. The tree prefers areas with a distinct dry season. The native species are distributed across Australia, China, India while the exotic species are found in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda among other countries. It is more frequent on riverbanks, shady ravines and prefers deep loose soils such as sandy, rocky or loamy soils with sufficient water content.
