I would recommend the book " Wings Of Fire " by Tui T Sutherland, it's a very entertaining series ( Especially if you like dragons.) Instead of reading the actual book, I listen to audiobooks, I like how the reader reads it cause she also acts out the voices. So yeah, go and check that out.

If you're interested in fantasy settings like that, there's a fantasy medieval book series you might be interested in called Rangers Apprentice. It's setting is in the time of kings and queens while featuring some Legend of Zelda like ideas and characters. It's an easy read that kept a dope like me entertained despite hating reading.

I have been an avid reader since my childhood. My parents encouraged me to read early on, and i ended up really enjoying it. Even though i initially developed my reading habit with regular books, my dad also gave me several comic books to read, mainly Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Mickey, Tintin, Asterix and Lucky Luke. Loving reading regular books didnt stop me from loving comic books, or looking down on them as an inferior form of literature. To me, reading has always counted as anything, be it reading books, comics, news or even dialogues in games. Anyone who feels like getting into reading should keep this in mind, in case the task of taking on a book may seem daunting at first.

I think that every form of content that gives an story in a written form, with less or more words, counts as reading. Yes, of course, the good aspects of reading are obtained better with traditional literature because you have to do more from your part, contrary to comics and mangas in where things are more simplified to not screwing up the artwork, but, still, is reading, nonetheless. Therefore, if you don´t like much books, well, you have comics and mangas.

I loved reading books as a kid but had trouble reading longer books and walls of text. I then found a small section of my library which was the Graphic Novel section and I would not read any other book. I read all 9 books they had and fell in love with the Amulet series and asked for more of the series So this vid touched my heart

Im actually in love with this book called “the deepest breath” and is basically about this girl named Stevie and she has a friend named Chloe and Stevie says that she needs to know everything to make her feel better and yes indeed she knows a lot of stuff but she says one particular thing she does not know is that what is this fuzzy feeling in my chest when I look at my friend Chloe. I like how they made this book for kids to start recycling . As we saw on video Jaiden wanted to recycle so she could get her pet too. Then kids will get used to do this and will do it in future. That’s really clever idea . kids might be waiting for their pet but it’s ok seance when they gonna grow up they gonna remember something good and funny like Jaiden did .

That's how I feel about the Redwall series by the late Brian Jaques - the intended audience might be older children/young teens, but the lore is deep and well written, and every character has such personality and voice! If you want to kickstart a reading problem, Redwall is a great way to go (just look up the chronological order to start!).

I remember really liking a book series called Animorphs, where five teenagers are fighting against parasitic aliens that can manipulate any living creature. Another alien gives them the ability to turn into any animal they have touched at least once, but if they stay in animal form for more than two hours, they will be stuck in that form permanently. I was never able to finish the saga, because the whole series consists of a total of 64 parts, but only the first 20 parts (and two "Megamorphs" books) were available in my home region. Maybe I actually should try to find the rest of the books from the internet, if I ever have time for it.🐶🐬🦅🦎🐜

You know, I also had/have trouble making reading a habit, and I don't really like the horror genre, be it in literature or movies (I mean I can enjoy it but I don't usually go looking for horror media). BUT, oh boy, when my friends gave me their Goosebumps books for a weekend, I was HOOKED. Stine is a master when it comes to cheeky humour and actual horrific situations (for kids and adults alike).

I was searching for a book I read a while back, a story about someone travelling into books that are gateways only accessible by a few, and i tried searching up stuff about it, but nothing came up, not even a series with a similar premise, and then I looked at that book on goodreads, and I found the series I was looking for, it was The Forbidden Library, and a standalone book that i remebered but wouldn't have been able to find, google sucks with book searches unless you know the title of the book

You should read Wings of Fire by Tui T Sutherland. You can read the actual books or the graphic novel versions. It is a 15 book series but there are only 5 graphic novels. They are pretty quick reads and it would be easy for you to try out.

I believe that the debate on whether or not comic books/manga should be considered "real" books is the same as if animation should be called "real" television. It's the elitist mind-set of "it's for kids!" because it isn't similar enough to what has been done before with the classics and such, which would have been literally impossible because, y'know, classics are old. It's the incorrect opinion that accessible and easy means unintelligent and without meaning. To add to this: Both of my parents are and have been English teachers for over 20 years, and they ENCOURAGE their students to read comics because it is by far the most effective way to get them to read.
