Scammers are cockroaches and your lack of knowledge or misinformation feeds them. If you don't heed the warnings or invest in yourself by learning and gaining knowledge, you make it easy for them to thrive. Protect yourself people, please.

I ran across a Benjamin with no date in a roll. First thought? Someone altered the coin. Your videos are so helpful Daniel. I am going to Coin Help U because the coin is not scratched but there are markings.

I recently found your videos and the education value is enormous. I have collected coins for over 40 years. I have been a member of CONECA for 20+ years. Knowledge thru education. I think one of the biggest problems is that the majority of people don't want to put time into it. Everything has to be fast and easy. Remember the old saying David Q. Bowers always stated "buy the book before the coin". Thanks again for all the time you are taking to do this.

What aggravates me is seeing people trying to sell a 1982-D small date copper penny for hundreds and thousands of dollars on eBay. I can zoom in and clearly see it’s a large date. Shame on them. Thanks for your videos and for being direct and honest. ☮️

Society nowadays is lazy.. Yes, I said it. When I was growing up, we didn't have technology like we have today. We had to do research, read, study, learn, and figure things out. Not today, we have the technology to find things in an instant. I've said it before, no one wants to do the leg work and learn something, pick up a book and read. Instant gratification and a participation trophy just for showing up. Always buyer beware. Keep your head on a swivel. Look around and pay attention. Don't be the next victim. Daniel is here to teach !
@CoinHELPu5 күн бұрын
This is a bit cynical because there's so much coming at people that you don't always know. I do agree there's a lot of laziness.

I bought some clean coins to finish off my set of high-grade walking liberties. I paid cleaned prices. I got pummeled by a professional numismatist for not buying PCGS/NGC coins did I screw up? I wanted a nice set but I don’t have $100,000 for an MS 60 set.
@homerj8065 күн бұрын
That "numismatist" is just pure bull. He knows nothing. The number one thing you have to know is that coin collecting is a HOBBY. You collect what ever you like because it makes you happy. If you are satisfied by those cleaned liberties then good for you. Don't listen to those people who claimed to be a "professional" because that mean they know nothing about the hobby. FYI in my case, and this is just me, I would not buy cleaned, especially overly cleaned coins because they just look so odd. I have seen walkies in G condition but they are polished to a point that light reflects. I would prefer a lower grade than an overly cleaned.

If you enjoy it than that's all that matters.

There is only 1 reason I would buy graded coins and that is to ensure they were not fake. Fortunately most of the stuff I collect is low end and I don't pay much so I really don't worry about fakes. Take my Franklin half dollar collection. I've purchased all of them for bullion price. For most of them I searched the bins and pulled out better ones but they averaged probably 12 bucks each. They aren't perfect, they aren't graded and they are pretty much worth whatever other silver stackers will pay for them but the book full of them looks pretty cool to me. As I stack and get more I may look to upgrade some of the worst ones but I'm not going to pay more just to get a better looking (to some) coin. My point is what others have said. Collect for yourself. Yeah, you could pay 100 bucks for a high grade coin but if it doesn't match any of the other coins in your collection its going to look out of place. If you pay more than you can really afford you may end up resenting that coin. Collect what you like and what you can afford and don't listen to any one else.

@@steveschindler2802 I am mainly a foreign coin collector but when I buy US coins I would look for the best quality coin at the cheapest prices, especially in the bargain bins. That is the thrill of the hunt.
