I think you're correct that they don't drop poisonous potatoes, but I think in previous versions they might have been able to because I have a memory of seeing a clip of some youtuber (can't remember the name) in a hardcore world doing a no eating challenge and losing to a poisonous potato dropped by a killed zombie.

Therefore, you would need 5 items to cross your inventory to craft a cake. Sugar, wheat, egg, empty bucket, milk bucket. Haven, would you accept these reasonings?

In Hypixel SkyBlock, players can get poisonous potatoes by killing zombies and zombie villagers. They can also be found on a player's private island from zombie minions. They were also dropped by poisonous potato zombies on an April Fools update. :)

I believe when it comes to poisonous potatoes zombies used to have a chance to drop them I do remember that being a feature, but technically they still do drop from hostile mobs, granted they are the poisonous potato mobs from snapshot 24w14 potato which was the april fools snapshot, which you can still play and you didn't specify current mobs.

Armor worn on spawn (notably skeleton/zombie) is based on difficulty over time, meaning you’re not loading the area long enough for it to matter

i remember getting poisonous potatos but after my professional testing (i spawned 2000 zombies and killed them with looting 50) i have gotten a grand total of... 0 poisonous potatoes. im not sure if they were removed as a drop in older versions but apparently they dont anymore edit: i just tried it on 1.8.9 1.7 and on minecraft bedrock and none of those zombies gave me any poisonous potatoes so i guess its not a drop?
