The Pistons over the last 15+ years have been the worst team I've ever seen at scouting and developing talent, from both the draft and free agency. Not a single star player, and the overwhelming majority of role players have been complete garbage. Anyone that resembles a functional human on the court (Cade) they should keep, because they literally can't get anyone better

The Pistons may have gone something like 5-77 without Cade this season. He was carrying the franchise night in and night out. I just hate what the Pistons have become. That 2002-2008 championship era team seems like eons ago now.

The Pistons are the sacrificial lamb of our 4 major sports teams. For decades it was the Lions. The theory is that one of them have to be really bad for another to be really good. Sorry Pistons, but with the Lions being legitimate Super Bowl contenders you need to be bad!

Seeing that the Pistons are nearly at the league minimum, seems pretty stupid to trade away the only guy worth a max contract, unless you like paying Blake Griffin!!

There is a salary cap in basketball. Definitely trade cade. We will never be able to build a team around him with a max contract. Cade would collect a few good pieces on top on your youth

Three words spend, spend, spend. This off-season, sign skubal to a 10 year contract extension, also there are seven players I wanna see the tigers sign. Justin verlander to a three year deal, brandon belt to a 4 year deal, willy adamses to a 7 year deal, matt chapman to a 7 year deal, Juan Soto to a 10 year deal, Nathan eovaldi to a 7 year deal, and jd Martinez to a 5 year deal. Also, sign riley green to a 10 year deal too.

That's what I want the tigers to do, what's actually going to happen, who they will sign is no one. They probably won't even be willing to keep tarik skubal and riley green, they'll probably trade them when they have to pay them. The tigers have zero interest in spending money on free agents or making the team better. I think denise illitch, Mike's daughter should take over ownership duties from her brother chris, she is a lawyer and she's on the board of regents and u of m. She would be a lot more qualified as owner than her brother is. People talked about the ford family selling the team, that was never gonna happen, they needed someone in the family who cared about winning, spending money and putting a winning product on the field, they got that in spades in Sheila Ford Hamp. If the tigers give ownership duties over to denise illitch, you will see something similar to what the lions are building I guarantee it.
