Question of the Day: What do you think is the WORST weapon in Splatoon 3 and why?
@Redder_Creeps10 ай бұрын
Blasters. Why do they even have start-lag for the shots?
@Pikatwig1610 ай бұрын
Golden Aerospray. Person who has stayed in Turf Wars, and the fact it hasn't gotten a nerf to decrease the Booyah Bomb output is so frustrating. I don't think a weapon should be able to get a special within the first 20 seconds of a match. It's just a frustrating weapon to go up against.
@sawsandra_10 ай бұрын
Aerosprays, and Chargers, one of my WORST Weapons in Splatoon 3, because Aerosprays ruined Turf War and been wanting Aerosprays nerfed for a long time, Chargers are so annoying and a wussy to deal with.
@happypika310 ай бұрын
Splattershot Nova because its kit is mid, has peashooter damage, it even struggles against sprinkler, its accuracy sucks, can't even camp a superjump spot and depends on team mates to succeed

That line about how you miss your shots when they’re right in front of you, felt too real. As a Dapples player, I’m basically in kissing distance of people. Yet I still somehow lose to an E-liter. AN E-LITER! In close range no less!

I’ve been playing Splatoon for 8 years, and on Splatoon 3, haven’t played and grind for 9 months like I dealt with Solo Q matchmaking and losing teams, it’s really suck ass. Also due to anger also. wasted losing streak.
@Kurplode6 ай бұрын
Splatoon 3 is actually based on a turn-based win/loss reward system. When you lose, the winning team FINALLY won. You have no clue what they went through to finally get that win. If you take a sample pool of X amount of matches, it will average to several losses before you get a win. This goes for normal players and elites. So just remember, if you lost a match, the winning team went through countless losses to finally get to your team and get a win. It’s all about ‘whose turn is it to win this time’.
@captncoz21123 ай бұрын
That's a lame system ngl
@jayddenburgos8 ай бұрын
I'm sorry, but you half right. But the biggest problem is nintendo company itself. An unbalanced team is the issue of splatoon 3. It's true you can't always trust your team. For one players quit before the match started. Today, we were about to win. But two of my team quit, and at the end, we lost hard, and what's worse, we have to deal with players gloating at us and wish they add a skip. U know what's add the fire is carrying your team and still lost. It's ok to lose. But losing so many times, it's getting out of hand. Plus, if you win, there is a chance that the players that you team up will fight against you.
@bioRex2110 ай бұрын
This is great advice. I've even felt very discouraged to playing with friends because I'm not as skilled and afraid they would stop liking to play with me, but when I think about it, I wouldn't be bothered if it was the other way around. There will be wins and loses (maybe more loses) but I will keep in mind that we're all hanging out in our favorite game and that is awesome.
@Pikatwig1610 ай бұрын
Honestly, I can relate to this video. There are points where frustrating things happen, points where it's hard to not be annoyed at the game at points, but, at the end of the day, it is JUST a game. I try to remind myself of that often. It does help a bit.

tip for the whole "can't end on a loss" thing: instead of pushing yourself to get a declining chance at victory, you should instead celebrate any really big win you get just a match or so prior. take a break or just let it end for now, it'll keep your mood up. in some challenges and modes, i've had wonderful victories that i told my friends to stop after, as it left us in a really good mood when there was only time for a single match left... potentially forcing us to end on a loss. everytime i win a 10x or 100x, i run out to the plaza and start celebrating like never before. alternatively, you could just stay positive during that "final match loss" and be like "hey, i won 5 matches prior. that's good enough for me.", only to then reflect on your mistakes amd move on.
@sorish70984 ай бұрын
Unfortunately this would never work for me since am a backliner most often, autist with horrible mood swings. I already feel like am not good at anything so lost games where my team got absolutely shredded, would not make me feel like improving it would make me feel like quitting. A lot of times I actually can see by pulling my map what my teams up to... Like going as far in the map as be in the middle of enemys inked turf trying to 2 v 1 and lose in doing so. This vid might work for others, just not for me but I gave it a watch anyway.

One thing ill say, this is the best advice that can be given to players. Key word, *to players* . But one thing I'll say, there is one thing outside your control that will always show up. The absolutely horrendous, flank-proof, uninkable wall infested dumpsterfires that are the splatoon 3 maps. I went on recon yesterday, and it gave me alot of insight as to why i keep losing, why my team keeps getting sniped, or splatlinged. Because flanking is now COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE with the map design. No alternative paths, no inkable walls to sneak past enemy lines, no ways to cleverly use your mobility to turn the tide. The splatoon 3 maps encourage camping, and discourage any other playstyle. Either they were trying to force people to use the new stuff like stringers and zipcaster, or the map designers were all salty charger and splatling mains who were pissed off that they had to engage in a fair fight. This is coming from someone who primarily mains tenta brellas. Also I'd really like to see a tenta brella with point sensor and triple splashdown. To solve these problems, your onoy choice is to apply for a job at nintendo, somehow rise enough up the ladder to actually have a say, then fix the maps.

The blame game is why I started telling myself that /I/ deserved to be Splatted when I was out of position, not taking fights that I should as my role, not finding the angles I needed to win, not pushing when the rest of my team needs reassurance that it's TIME to push, etc Sometimes you DESERVED to lose even if it makes you rage

What I learn from my losses in solo, 70% of the time it was that the matchmaking sucks, but not as you think it is. It's not that we suck, or our team mate suck or the opponent is above our skill level.... No! But rather we get matched with people that is just incompatible with ou4 playstyle. I am by nature in this game a slayer. If I am matched with 3 other slayers, I won't get anywhere in the game. Seriously, I have lost count how many times I was matched with people who seemed to be allergic to riding the tower or taking the rainmaker or holding the football. Or the opposite, everyone wants to take the objective but noone wants to clear the road so the objective carrier can move forward. So basically you have to be able to adapt in solo... That's the only way

My mindset meltdown moment was more of a “damn that was horrible, I’m gonna go get roasted by my friend who saw me miss the “easiest snipe ever” over VC cause they are apparently splatoon Jesus” (COUGHT COUGHT WILL)

It’s tough to just want to hop on occasionally to have some fun but get decimated by a full team of fully scrubbed gear (basically perk system) and the weapons that they know like the back of their hand. I really don’t have a problem with the weapons part but I just don’t have enough time to devolve into the game to get my own scrubbed gear, so I feel like I’m just constantly at a disadvantage even if that disadvantage is minor, it still negatively impacts my experience.

I don't watch my losing matches that much because I've already criticized myself and recognize mistakes while in-game :X And my winning matches with 22-3 or something I still have things to criticize lol. I think watching better players and mimicking them is the best way to improve lol.....tho this video is about losing and losing probably just means I'm facing better players. The game is trying to setup a 50-50 win-lose ratio. Its okay to make mistakes, just recognize it from yourself as much as your teammates/enemies and you can use it as a database point of "what you can do in this specific situation". As someone that does face latency constantly, I have to recognize it so I can adjust my playstyle to give a lot more respect and room for my opponents. Sometimes avoiding those players helps a lot because my teammates might not have any latency to them.

@therealumaruchan93297 ай бұрын
You're really going to say that teammates or matchmaking is not a factor at all to a losing streak? If the reason for a losing streak is always your personal performance, then try playing any mode as 4 vs 1 because that's what you are playing with unhelpful teammates. Doesn't matter how good you are, nobody is winning games by themselves.

I have the opposite problem of the blame game. I blame every conceivable thing on myself and try to fix one thing that I did wrong after I die but then I forget another thing and I’m actually the worst player ever how am I ever going to get into x rank I’m just carried (you can imagine the rest of the proceeding spiral of comedic overdramatizing of negative self confidence)

Ok, brella main here, but after the latest server maintenance the time where you can get hit through your shield went from a quarter second (barely functional) to a full second (literally impossible), so what am supposed to do if the game makes it impossible to use my weapons?
@zandensterner391810 ай бұрын
Find the next best weapon class. Unfortunately that's the only option besides praying for nintendo to fix it
@unevennoble936310 ай бұрын
Or just use tenta brella. You may not realize it, but tenta brella is just as powerful as an assasin role as when playing a glorified reinhardt. Fun fact, Tenta brellas can oneshot players, and have similar range to a slosher or splattershot pro. And its fire rate is similar to a sloshing machine as well. The day I discovered brellassassin was the day tenta brella became my main.
