A few things 1. I'm playing the AI (its easier to get gameplay than playing vs. people) 2. The other Weathery cards were not on YGOpro at this the time of recording this 3. Before someone says some dumb shit like "you rushed this video" it took HOURS to complete this so….. #shutyobitchassup 4. You could totally have used Ciel's effect with Skill Drain up at 4:17 Normal summon in middle left zone, activate normal summonable effect. CL 2 use Rainy Pattern effect to banish and bounce a Whirlwind. Chain resolves backwards, with Ciel no longer on the field its effects are no longer negated by Drain. You can do some pretty nifty plays in this deck. Not half bad if you ask me.

They need a few things. 1. A stronger monster or a spell or trap that increases all weathers by 500 for every weather pattern. 2. More Search Cards and Possible Tokens for a Link 3. more link monsters

Hm i didnt think the monsters would keep their effects with the Weathery Patterns under Skill Drain. Even if they "gain" the effect of a pattern, isn't the activation still considered a monster effect activation? Guess not.

The way that works is that the Weathery Monsters banish themselves as a cost, so they're resolving the effect while they're banished rather than on the field, "dodging" Skill Drain's negation of monster effects on the field.

Skill Drain doesn't stop effects from activating, it just negates the effects of monsters while they're face up. Since the cost isn't part of the effect you can use them like Sir Real explained and banish them for the cost, then resolve the effect properly since they aren't on the field anymore

same thing happens with Lose 1 turn. it affects them but only on the field, and since they leave the field to activate their effects, L1T and Skill drain don't affect them at resolution.

So far from playing them they do perfectly fine without even using Arciel, and the fairly rare times you do get Arciel on the field sucessfully it's very hard to lose. They really aren't bad, and like that other dude said Snowy makes the deck a ton better. We don't even have all of them yet, so the last 2 cards may be exactly what the deck needs to go from decent to great.

I personally wouldn't use it in the deck simply because it would be bad to open with and doesn't really make the deck much better. Thunder bouncing cards is good enough as it is, there isn't really going to be anything that banishing would be significantly better against that you would want to main deck it for. Perhaps siding it, but even then I probably wouldn't because it's also another zone filled up that doesn't actually give my Weatheries extra effects and isn't something massively crippling like Skill Drain. I also don't tend to use the effect from Thunder more than once a turn, almost never more than twice, so it just seems like a bit of a waste. Nice idea though, I hadn't thought of that

If you are still interested just run kaijus in the deck , but only slumber 2 different kinds and, if you really want to waterfront. You can return the kaiju you give them to your hand with thunder weather pattern and repeat the process in a slow grind game that you can't loose

"the effect to banish as a cost" look you aren't understanding dinamics too well. A COST isnt a effect. For example when a xyz monster use an effect under skill drain they first dettach a material(this is the cost) and then they try to activate de effect (which is negated by Skill drain). in the case of Weathery their cost is banishing AND the effect itself is activated in the banish which is ouside of what Skill drain can affect(the field only).

Hopefully he'll do another video using all of their support, Snowy pattern really gets the deck going and you don't need to max out on Rain or Cloudy just for the sake of having more patterns. Bengala also gives the deck a slightly quicker way to summon Arciel, especially combined with Sunny Pattern. I can't wait to see what the last monster and pattern are going to be
