Now before anyone gets offended... 😂 THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH DOING OR NOT DOING ANY OF THESE THINGS!
The point is that it's OK to NOT always be on the trendy train. 🚂 Sometimes social media can make us feel like we are not doing enough or not worthy enough if we don't have the latest and greatest... and it's not true!
I've always been a "if it ain't broken, don't fix it!" Kinda girl. I love what I love, and I don't want to feel pressured to change it just because it doesn't fit what's in. Now, who doesn't love pampering every now and then?? But I don't want that to ever become my identity or who I am, or what I find my worth it.
Im raising a daughter that has to see it all unfold and I want her to know the same. It's still "cool" to be unique! To find your own way and love what you love!
I love comfy. I love old. I love imperfect. I love easy and slow days. I love nurturing. I love having a relationship with Jesus. I love working on my home. I love my flawless drugstore makeup routines. I love my skincare that i swear by religiously, but doesn't cost $500+ to replace. I love this body that's grown all my babies. I love my manicure-less hands that change diapers, cleans up after the animals daily, works in the dirt on our property, cleans our home and loves to create in the kitchen. I love a good spray tan from home. I love long quiet walks. I love this life!
And it wasn't always like this. It took a while for me to find "me". Especially after becoming a Mama! But once I did, everything came so naturally. Nothing feels forced, and I could care less what the jones' are doing down the road. If it isn't benefiting or building my family or our walk with Christ... who cares???
