@nah4824 I just think more gamers aren't going to be able to afford the new GPUs so anyone who wants to upgrade will have no choice but to pick AMD (or Intel battlemage) otherwise they will just have stick it out and not upgrade at all. Most consumers cannot afford to spend 1700$ on just the GPU personally I am part of such customers, I am very poor and can only afford to spend a total of 1000 - 1,200$ on a computer build. AMD is offering 4070 specs for around 500$ which is perfect price point to build a nice 1000$ PC. 1700$ GPU = easily $2,500 PC build that's too rich for majority of gamers.

it’s really a bad idea for nvidia to enter client cpu market. they have cuda to maintain their high margin in ai gpu, they have dlss and gaming companies’ support to maintain their high margin in consumer gpu. what do they have to maintain a high gross margin in the fierce competitive cpu market? if they enter cpu market, the overall gross margin will drop, which no nvidia investor would like to see

@ dc is vastly different from comsumer market, as it’s margin is way higher, you can see that from amd’s epyc, which boosts overall gross margin to 54% for amd. plus, grace cpu is one of the key components of gb200/gh200 system, which shares its giant 960gb memory with hooper/blackwell. do you expect the same mechanism with client CPU? Another thing is, we don’t know the percentage of grace cpu vs xeon/epyc in those ai acceleration servers, i feel majority of the ai servers are still 2 xeon/epyc cpu with 8 hooper/blackwell gpus, if that’s the case then grace CPU has very small impact on overall nvidia’s dc gross margin

NVDA will resume its healthy growth on the 1st quarter before or after the financial reports which will exceed expectations, healthy because the P/E is reasonable unlike other stocks which have a mind boggling high P/E value which exceeds the company’s capabilities and at the first crack in the bull ballon will cause a panic sell that will crash the stock. Betting against NVDA is like betting against Microsoft when they first came into the market and Apple when they invented the first I phone, it’s downright absurd if you are a second level thinker/investor, Howard Marks, the most important thing.

I believe Nvidia will introduce a consumer ARM-based CPU that can run Windows. Currently, only Qualcomm makes ARM CPUs with Microsoft. AMD is targeting 2025 to introduce an ARM-based CPU as well, but AMD has to be careful and not spread itself too thin.

Not offering any particular advice, but I can assure you that both stocks still have growth potential. Re-distributing is not as hard as many people think it is. Ordinary investors lack the requisite level of diligence, so having a financial advisor on board is usually highly beneficial. In the market, this is how people generate enormous profits.
