I kept wanting to leave a comment but got discouraged that you might not read it, but hearing the story you just shared here about the other comment made me see it as a sign to add mine. When you first launched your journal 'i love being sensitive', i bought it and started writing in it. The questions and prompts of the journal had me discovering answers worth digging in my therapy sessions, so i took it with me to the session. To my surprise, at the following session, my therapist was holding your journal saying how she finds it to be an excellent tool to work with, especially with children and adolescents. She is still using it to this day. I believe this to be a fascinating proof of how one action can have such huge impact and ramifications in ways probably not even imagining. Thank you for having the courage to be yourself and share it with us 🧡

This is actually much deeper, in a sense, than you realize. Surrender to what is allows into experience what’s actually happening NOW, rather than resisting the present moment where we’re reacting to what is NOT happening when lost in streams of thought content. Tomorrow, next week, next year, last week, etcetera, are never known in direct experience, but we constantly conjure the *experience of these phantoms into existence through thought, but if we consciously pause thought what’s revealed is NOW. It’s always NOW, and this is where peace of mind is found through surrender to what is. It’s so simple, but people go on lifetime quests to find this treasure hiding in plain sight!

I absolutely agree that gratitude for what you have makes happiness possible. But I also want to acknowledge that deeply desiring safety and security in the form of owning a home has got to be the exception. It’s interesting to hear this non-attachment perspective from an apartment owner in Paris. I am so happy that you have achieved that. But my finance’s mom is nearly 80 and she’s being forced out of her rental because she can’t afford it after her husband died. I am living in an expensive city, no rent control, no lease was offered from the owner or property management after our 1 year term so we are month to month… I feel very unsafe. Not enough money for a house of our own, rent is over 50% income… I agree with what you say but it’s coming from a leveled up perspective because you have that safety and security that most people don’t. How can I feel gratitude when I’m not safe?

hey, I appreciate you sharing this! I don't have all the answers and I know life is difficult. I personally have lived through some of the poorest times; I was on food stamps through most of my late teens and early 20s, and have had a lot of personal hardships-- so I know what that's like! What I am trying to share and hope encourage through my own experiences is that in any situation I have found myself in, when I let go I can be appreciative of what I DO have in the present. I think by focusing on the silver lining we attract more of that into our life. But I also understand that it takes work to get to that mindset and its not easy! I hope you have a beautiful week and I'm sending so much love!

I spent a great deal of time reading Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley and working through the To Be Magnetic podcast which I think you’d really like. This is where I got hung up, the safety and security. It’s my bad, I’m trying to clean up my side of the street. I am trying to overcome this scarcity mindset but it’s hard when this earthly realm requires so much money to survive. I think maybe I’ll go back and reread that book I mentioned to help change my mindset. Thanks to you for inspiration!

I hope you survived the creeps. lol Your show was cool. Obviously you're not schizophrenic, but I have a friend who is and she is one of the coolest people I know. She's beautiful and super talented. She dresses outlandish and unique and has a real passion for living, and in ten years of knowing her, in retrospect, I only experienced one of her episodes. I heard about a couple of others, but I would say in general she's highly functional. In fact, I didn't even pick up on her being schizophrenic until 10 years later after that one incident, and even then it wasn't that bad. The only thing the two of you have in common other than being creatives is your style of dress and your passion for living, so maybe the commenter misspoke based on someone she knows.
