This brings up a lot of old feelings for me too. There were some insecurities on my part because of the women he dated in the past, but I no longer feel that way because a couple of things had been revealed to me about his past relationships and I realised that these women were not perfect within the relationship, despite how well put together they looked on the physical. So while I'm here nitpicking everything about myself because I'm nothing like those women, whole time God saw me as a perfect fit because I was nothing like them in the first place! 😂 If someone comes to you and tells you not to be with someone solely because the person is going through a rough patch in their lives that's not someone you should be friends with anyway. That says a lot about the type of friend they are more than the person they're judging. It shows that they lack loyalty, not just as a friend but as a partner as well, because the minute you start going through a lot in your life, they'll be the first ones to peace out and bounce then once they see that you're doing well again they'll come to reap the benefits of your hard work. I'd rather be with someone that quote unquote "ruins my image" than to sit there and be with someone that breaks my heart and ruins my mental health.
