This is an excellent performance from the point of view of accuracy of rhythm, pitch and diction. Stylistically it isn't correct, but who cares, it doesn't stop it being beautiful to listen to. In its own way, it's as beautiful as any "cathedral like" performance of this Tallis masterpiece of a beautiful renaissance motet. I'd love to see these guys in a live performance, they're so entertaining. A huge well done! One of my favourites.

absolutely phenomenal, the third one from the right to left looked a lot like my grandfather who was apart of a quartet himself. thanks for the amazing music.

I love this hymn! So beautiful! I'm not a fan of renaissance music, but this is an exception! IF you would want to have this reflect the renaissance style, the cadences would be open fifths(no third in the chord). Besides that, I love this!

just they way it snaps the bass's voice to the notes when he sings. and it just sounds a little robotic and, how should i say this...right on pitch haha
@qoe34q7 жыл бұрын
Mh, either the score has an error in it (due to the transposition?) or the alto is singing the wrong note two times... Apart from that a very fine rendition.
@quadriviumexpat12 жыл бұрын
Great! Very well sung. So nice to hear this music in a contemporary setting! A few points of constructive criticism: put a slight seperation between "and" and "I" (and I will pray the father, for example at 0:16-0:17. Also, make a soft "th" sound at "2:01 (may abide you wiTH you forever). Otherwise excellent and greetings from Canada.

Why do you think they autotune?
@sounakrajdas914212 жыл бұрын
... sorry, but I can't agree with that. America produces many beautiful singers who use very round vowel sounds and good tone, which I think is your primary objection to this interpretation. Whether you like their work or not (I, too, was not very fond of it, as an American choral singer), I cannot condone you insulting a country of singers who work equally hard. Besides, they at least blended, which is I think the primary reason to unify your vowel sounds....

I'm terribly sorry but please leave the beautiful choral singing to those with an English accent. Thank you. And it may surprise you that it is not a song, it's a form of English sacred music... SO no, it is not the best 'interpretation' by any means.
@npwheaties6 жыл бұрын
elaine mactavish it may surprise you that people can sing whatever they like. It’s ignorant people like you that are hated for only slandering people and not providing any useful feedback. Hope someone gives you shit next time you try performing something “different”
