Am I the only one who thinks that Larry is actually a terrible interviewer?? He's so non-responsive, always cuts people off and only seems to half-listen most of the time. He always makes me think of Bill Hader's Herb Welch character from SNL and I would venture to guess that Larry was a major inspiration for that character.

While I don’t completely disagree, I’d recommend rewatching the part where Gillian tells him that she was honored to meet him. He pauses briefly to see if she is genuine, and he masks his gratitude with a light joke, but you can tell he’s touched; shocked even. I may be reaching here, but when I watch this I see a deeply sad man who has probably experienced his fair share of criticism and negativity in his career. He may even dislike his job. But when you’re that age, switching careers is easier said than done. So while I agree that he isn’t the best interviewer, I still think he’s a human being and your criticism could be a little kinder. Thats just my two cents though. I’m sure he isn’t reading it, but I’m also sure that you aren’t the first to say this about him
