We spend too much time staring at that little screen, we're not 'living' anymore, merely 'existing'. People used to talk to one another out in public, greeting passersby, and observing the world around you. Now we just ignore people around us like they don't exist, and watch TikTok videos. It's not the first time something like this has been said, the same thing happened with video games, and televisions. The fact that our phones can be taken with us everywhere we go, exacerbates the problem. It's not a 'boomer' just complaining to be heard, it's a big deal that we, as a society, shouldn't take lightly. There will be consequences to our (lack of) actions.

@@valiant1968 yeah i agree. phones have really taken over. however, phones are a way of life because they help with communication and help with a lot more things. yet people are always in their phones. my sis stays in her phone watching tiktok and every time i see her she’s sleep with the phone still in her hand. it doesn’t make any sense at all. but phones are a pro and a con.

I’m sure you’ll look back on your life and be glad you scrolled on your phone all day. Don’t get defensive just because you know that you stare at your phone and aren’t present, make some friends and maybe you’ll understand why real presence in day to day life is important
