@Halcyon Days don't hate the players, hate the game. If devs are too arrogant and lazy to implement wifi/jitter indicator it's completely their fault that assholes abuse it (intentionally or not). Indicator in the game keeps the laggers away.

Depends on the game. I’ve had worse matches on MK11 with people with wired connections using trash ISP equipment. I’ve used both wifi and wired with a router that cost more than a games console. The wifi chip in a PlayStation is absolutely terrible so wired is necessary there. Good PC connection is unnoticeable on a 60FPS game with good netcode

Powerline Adapter my brew. Been using one for the past 4 years and lucky enough to live in a house with perfect wiring for it. My FGC friends think I'm on wired until I tell them about the magic of powerline adapters (+good house wiring).

But if you get a powerline adapter be sure to check your jitter, packet loss and ping. Depending on the wiring in your building it can actually be WORSE than Wi-Fi so be sure to check. As mentioned in my previous comment I was lucky enough to have super low jitter and ping and no packet loss. I can't guarantee it'll be the same for you but it will likely be better than Wi-Fi (unless you're unlucky with your house's wiring).

alternatively, just get a long ass Ethernet cable. Powerline adapters are a crapshoot because if the wiring in your house sucks, it's going to suck ass and there is nothing you can do about it.
