Ive been shooting for 45 years its my absolute lifetime passion and profession i e had a channel for over 7 years the growth has been pathetic its a hard slog with incredibly little reward. Having said that i love the constant learning curve i love the creative outlet and most of all its just fun i cant ever see me stopping sorry 😂

Good on you! Most people don’t really how hard KZbin is and how much dedication it requires. But as long as you enjoy it, that’s all the matters! 🙂

Thank you for your content. I love watching your videos. My name is Tasheba. I’ve been a Makeup Artist for over 15 years and I’ve recently started shooting Beauty being that I am shy in front of the camera. Would it be a good idea to create shorts to begin with?
@KayleighJune4 ай бұрын
No worries at all and thanks for watching! ❤️ Absolutely you could do shorts! I would consider whether you want long form content or short form content to be the priority on YT, (as it can be difficult to juggle both and get the right balance with your audience - they can each attract different audiences with different viewing habits to your channel.) Long form can be very lucrative with brand collaborations on KZbin, shorts can be less so. Just something to keep in mind though, and either way taking that first step is the main thing! 😊

Thank you for making this video, I feel like this video is for me because I have been thinking about it, a few friends of mine have advised as well. But Imposter syndrome has been kicking my ass lately, If you're reading this, hit the like button and I'll post my intro video asap. Not counting on it but one can wish.
@KayleighJune4 ай бұрын
No worries! I think we all deal with imposter syndrome at some point or another, it's really common amongst creatives sadly. In my opinion you should absolutely start the channel! You've got nothing to lose, may as well give it a go and see if anything comes of it! 😊

Most top photographers don't have one, because they don't need KZbin to get noticed. Their portfolios speak for themselves. KZbin photographers are more influencers than top class photographers in most peoples opinions.
@KayleighJune4 ай бұрын
I think this is a really short sighted comment for several reasons. What some people like yourself don’t understand is that there are great photographers on social media making a living by not even having to work with clients. And let me be clear, this is not a bad thing. Some photographers prefer not to monetise their passion in a way that they NEED to work for clients, they prefer to focus on what they love doing. A lot do prefer to do this and jump into the commercial aspect of their businesses, but not all photographers want this long-term. It can be something for many that tends to wear down creativity and that real passion. Also, many photographers are not privileged enough to live in areas where commercial work is abundant to support themselves consistently. So utilising social media in this way can be great leverage specifically for them. Thinking of KZbin photographers purely as just ‘influencers’ and not being ‘real photographers’ is such an outdated viewpoint, and in my own opinion comes from a place of jealousy and bitterness.
