Our holy prophet (p.b.u.h.) was very gentle and soft-spoken so yes, he did speak the truth, but in a manner that wouldn't hurt the person being spoken to. At least that's what I've been taught about the seerah -e- rasool.

One of the most valuable videos on all of youtube. Thank you! I always was blunt and straightforward through out my life but i always thought i was wrong and there was something wrong with me. Alhumdulilah i cant tell you what this information means to me. Ive gone through life thinking its a curse but i was actually a blessing. Alhumdulilah!!!

Telling the truth is a practice. It comes out all wrong at first.. and offensive. I tried so hard to be honest with people and Sometimes.. especially with people you know, its too hard to change the family dynamic. God sent people to different territories and paired them with opposites .. the idea being.. like moses’ go gain i sight away from shat you know.. and come back when you understand and can free others .. I went through an array of Offense:defense positions before it came out the way of was intending the whole time. In my child like way.. my “goal” was to be lighg hearted and fun and me.. but i think in hindsight it came off to others as Rude and Unkind. My backdrop was comparing my tactic to war… i think others saw it and thought it was me mocking. And then i realized .. Truth doesnt have to be painful or disrespectful. We can pull each other off to the side and make someone aware of what we see.. in a way that alerts them to how they hurt themselves and others Without awareness… and give them a chance to see what you see.. so they can ask others. I told a lady once a secret so she wouldnt do hef normal behavior when she met my friend. She went and asked others if they also Felt that way and others said i was right. A hard reality to face . Is when everyone you know thinks something but no one bothers to tell you.. ur the annoying one .. or the smelly one.. or the Mean one. If no one ever tells you.. you never know ur unwanted and cant go looking for others who will appreciate your gifts. The stories in the Quran are about people who left one to find different Abraham left Babble.. and all he knew.. to start over .. so did Esua, Ishmael, Moses, Muhammad. Sometimes to devop’ you must leave what you know to compare with hat others have and know. And in you leaving your tribe to world amongst others.. they see you and learn from you. They see not all Muslims are the same.. just as not all jews, or christians are .. but we dont know unless we go to others circles and share our thoughts. Trouble comes when the newbie doesn’t know customs.. so they insult by accident or laugh at words or ideas that in our language mean something different. Be kind to those who dont know and might come off the wrong way 999 times.. practicing.. cuz when the light bulb moment comes on.. it illuminates all the 999 times it didnt. Not every “ill manner” is “ill intent” .. some of us just love people and are trying to find a place we belong.. on the path. Truth is hard to deliver if youve never known anyone who delivers it nicely. I like to use movies or songs.. to show people who they remind me of in behavior and attitude. So they get a sense what i see in them when i lack words.
