Looked through some of the comments and now im wondering why there are so many haters, the title isnt clickbait (no pun intended) 😂 its pretty solid advice. Good way to get tagged by a shark or blasted by a barracuda or something

Hey Joey, suggestion: My very good friend sits on a 5" thick foam seat on her BUP (blow up paddleboard). She is in great shape at 60 and has amazing stamina but sitting on the board with a kayak paddle she absolutely flies. I've been a water guy all my life as she has been as well growing up on a river. Using the kayak paddle sitting I believe is much more efficient and energy conserving and makes for easier manuvering. You can of course stand up whenever you want for casting or fun or looking. I have no trouble at 73 using a standup paddleboard, know how to spin it and control it but ... I just find it inefficient and uncomfortable and slower on long outings or covering distance. Thankfully, in my canoe, I can still stand up and walk end to end while the canoe is in motion with my trolling motor at a good speed, and on low speed cast around while standing in the canoe, or anchor and swim off it etc. I also surfed east coast New England and a bit in the South China Sea in the 1960's and early 70's. No more ocean stuff for me unless in an adequate boat. We have a seal population on Cape Cod and the Whites are now common in our area there. Best in all your endeavors.

awesome footage. When I lived in Indialantic for school (late 90s and early 2000s) I remember tons and tons of mullet. As far as the eye could see once the run started. I haven't been back in forever. Has the amount of mullet in the fall run gone down significantly since then????

Have you seen the video of the guy in a kayak fending off a hammerhead with his paddle frantically attempting to get back to the beach? He quit fishing from his kayak in the ocean.

Thanks for sharing. I think you’d do better to match the hatch throwing artificial lures in this situation. You’d Cover more water and be able to put it where they’re blowing up more accurately. Still, it was fun to watch.

BRO!! Why not a top water popper or a spoon or swim bait. Bait fishing when there's a frenzy is blah. But go get em, tight lines 🤘

I've seen a lot of your videos and I'm wondering, do you ever catch, keep, and eat any of these fish?
@JoeyAntonelli Жыл бұрын
I keep an eat a ton of fish but I do not like to cook. Usually, I give the fish to friends and family who return the favor by cooking it for me. It's quite the symbiotic relationship.

Drove from Cocoa Beach to Satellite Beach looking for calm surf and found nothing but eroded beaches and high surf. What general area are you in where it’s actually calm? 5 ounces wouldn’t even hold my bait!

Spot like this reminds me of a similar spot in one of our regions in Indonesia, unfortunately the place has been damaged by irresponsible individuals using water bombs, poison and anesthetizing fish using potassium cyanide and there is no police handling because there are police 'individuals' involved in it.

The other day i was walking off the jetty and seen a big school of tarpon and snook tearing up mullet like this right off the beach side. Joey I wanted to maybe talk to you about doing something about how dirty it is out there... We need better rules set in place to keep our beloved jetties clean! I cant even walk my cart out without getting some sort of lines tangled up in my wheels :(
@JoeyAntonelli Жыл бұрын
I know what you're talking about, but I don't think more rules would help. There are plenty of great people that work/volunteer for the park and FWC, but they can only do so much. The only way I see it changing is if the fisherman enforce the rules about leaving trash and bait around, but then you risk causing a confrontation which if escalated will usually result in both people being trespassed for a year. With that said, if I see people dumping tons of bait on the ground, grabbing what they want and leaving the rest, I will always tell them to knock the rest of the bait back in the water. That's definitely one of my pet peeves.
