I don't know why, but this remind me of Final Fantasy 7 crisis core. One super soldier vs an army alone. To protect the one they have with them and to win their survival. But instead of the Super Soldier dying and pasting on their will to their friend, Doeothy survive and her friend dies instead. And she went on to built Pinne dream instead.
