"I hope that if people feel that Emacs and Vim mean comfort, and they mean continuation of the story, then they believe that there is a meaning to keep on going"

I'd be interested in seeing you code a small project. You have opened my eyes to many command line utilities and I would love to see how you use your environment. Also, there something very "real" qbout your channel which I just love. Thanks for the content!

I could do it later today perhaps, for the Uni project I'm fiddling with. I've tried recording myself while programming, but it turns into a long boring video. Maybe if I cut parts out in the end it'll be worth the time to watch it. I'm glad you like the channel, basically what you said is the reason I made it. Luke Smith said something like "the reason I'm uploadng videos at random times is that that's what the internet is supposed to be, whenever you have something you consider valuable, you share it." There were some video ideas I had, and I knew I haven't seen such videos on KZbin before, but I couldn't tell why. An example would be a demo of using Emacs, or like, you know how in video games a good player will make a video to show off how flashy he can look, I haven't seen that with Emacs. There are ASMR Vim videos which is nice, but maybe I should take the initiative here. Or you, if you want. I'm not doing something very demanding. Just expect to do 3-4 retakes so that you consider the first takes as warm-up, and that's basically it.

I use vim because it makes me feel like a wizard while I write and fix my bad code. I use vim because I want to enjoy the journey. Sometimes people care not for this.

exactly, it makes writing the code itself really fun, not just the outcome of your code

I tried using Vim but keybinding for me sucked and just was painful to setup. I mostly use InteliJ (work) and used to use Atom (personal projects). Now I just made my own PDE using Gtk and Python. At some point I do hope to convert to C++ but for now it's good enough.

Sounds dope! When I started toying with Python, I used multiple windows of that default Python editor. I don't remember what it was, something that came with a package. It was a window witout tabs, but it had syntax highlighting and that's all I knew back then anyway lol! But you don't mean you program in Python right? It actually sounds like you used Python to wire up different programs...

@@vaisakhkm783 I'm a little slow but I think I get it now. No, I joked that the co-workers prepared extensions because they're very good programmers and he underestimated them. I just didn't think of this interpretation.
