Hearing you all connect the dots of your style to who you are/your background/favorite shows, etc was so helpful, and it really highlighted the wonderful friendship you guys have built here! I really struggle figuring out my style, but I’m also at a very transitional “idk what I’m doing” phase of life so that is probably a lot of the reason why. Appreciate this podcast so much

People watching (out and about or on TV) is great way to get inspiration. I've even been known to politely ask what someone is wearing and they are almost always happy to tell me. There's a particular UK news presenter whose style I admire and I once DMd her on Twitter to ask her where she got her dress from and she messaged me right back, which was amazing! I loved so many of the outfits/looks on The Morning Show - particularly anything worn by Alex Levy (Jen Aniston). Alas, I don't have her budget... 😢 Love your podcast, which I've just recently discovered. Gradually working my way through all the episodes as my daily treat with a cup of tea. 😘 Thank you.

I am surprised that one of Signe’s 3 words isn’t Soft. That is the first thing I see with her colouring and demeanor .She reminds me of actress Saoirse Ronan. I think Dramatic is a perfect modifier for Alyssa. There is something about her that reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. And Christina has that corporate edgy thing going on a la Miranda from Sex and the City. Love all you 3 ladies! So nice to see you all together for your podcast ❤

Alyssa saying the other 2 women's shows suit them, Gossip girl is the epitome of dramatic 😂😂. And i can also see Serenas bombshell vibe in Alyssa and her hair as well as the more classic vibe of Balir. Very cool!

I love getting inspired by playing with what I have! I can feel the fabric, see the pattern and colors in person and up close, and try out different things in real time. I can decide if I want to contrast it (sporty meets feminine vintage for example), play into it (an all-over vibe of sporty) or have one piece as the 'star' and the rest of the outfit as the supporting cast. It's the time that I play in my closet where I come up with the best styles - and they are unique to me and what I have! Talk about reciprocal gratitude ❤

I love hearing your views on what everyone was wearing on your travels. Love people watching for fashion but never though about the typical brit in suit and oxfords It's just the norm so it was fab to here others views on this. Plus what we wear is influenced by where we live in the ways you mentioned like the print, I gravitate to print because a lot of that is around in the shops even though I think other country's fashion (like Italy) looks better and more sophisticate. A fab podcast.

I like fashion from the 1910s through the 1980s, and Roman empire, Hawaiian, and Cuban fashion. I also like fashion from 1930s through early 1980s tv and even some Star Trek fashion up to Deep Space 9. Im trying to find some Endora from Bewitched earnings. On a different note: I wear whatever is expected of me in the corporate environment that pays my bills. I only have 1 closet and one budget so the inspired fashion is mostly on hold. Ps I also like certain uniforms and was lucky enough to receive a box of plaid stewardess uniforms in the early 80s and a couple of Bubba trucker shirts in the 90s.

I definitely get inspiration from tons of places aside from the internet, but honestly in some places (Arkansas, me, hi) looking to the streets is not the answer 😂. So few people care about fashion and Walmart is huge. Our environment’s best feature is the nature (inspirational in itself of course), the infrastructure leaves much to be desired. Most people are wearing pajamas, church clothes that are outdated by ten years, or work clothes. Certainly tells a story, but rarely inspiring. I almost never come across people that I think are well dressed here, unless it’s the occasional Asian foreign exchange student at our local university. It’s rare unless you know where to look. Definitely for me with that is to look less for the actual fashion in front of me but to look at the function of my surroundings and to model my style after that. So there’s a fun level of southern practical/agriculture popped into my fashion. With this I can afford to dress classy, but I can also get a lot of fun use out of cowboy hats, hiking fashion, and woodsy natural looks. But movies, in general areas of higher culture, certainly. I’ve always sought after film for this. Movies and shows are the biggest for me because they’re creating a story that’s more than the clothes, but the clothes help manufacture it. Buffy reference ftw! One of my favorite inspirations is Lost Boys. I love the leather jackets, the denim, the vintage skirts, etc. with a flair of fantasy.

Oh you guys inspire us! Thanks for the lovely talk. I can feel the appreciation you share and there is nothing better than women supporting and holding each other up. My style inspiration growing up in the 90's was also definitely Wynona Ryder. She was my style icon. Especially, as she was the ultimate indie anti-establishment IT girl. I mean she babysat for Tom Waits kids. So yeah. She's an indie fashion legend, although she was a huge star. This was also a time when people didn't get dressed to be photographed or had stylists. I would also add 90's Gwyneth Paltrow (short pixie bob years) and Cate Blanchett to style inspo. Then of course the indie music scene in the 90s and early 00s. And the 80's. LOVED that era in terms of music and style. Otherwise, being out in an urban center on the first few days of spring or summer....then people just look amazing busting out of their winter cave. :)

I love the idea of diversifying your sources of inspiration ❤ Just get out of home a little more and explore the places you like, and watch and analyse for a bit what people wear in those places is a great tip 😍 I admire Danish style, Italian style and style in modern Ukraine too ❤ that’s why I follow all of you, I think ☺️ My sources of inspiration are often some events I go to, like theaters, movies and concerts; because usually people put a little bit more effort to dress up for these events and I enjoy admiring their outfits very much ❤❤ Thank you for this episode 🤗

Where I live people only wear jeans and hoodies or tees. (Yes even to weddings and funerals) It's hard to get inspo here. There is such a lack of even basic grooming like bathing let alone styling clothes. I've seen a very few people who are styled well and have been inspired to find my own style. However I don't share a style with them, it's just been cool to see someone wearing something that suits them so well and I want to figure out what suits me.
