Dela, as a lady, you are vulnerable to being taken advantage of. It is best to always have 2 quotes or 2 handymen. Competition drives prices down, and second opinion gives you an overview to sniff what is not right. Get a friend with a local accent to negotiate for you as well All the best.

Septic tank needs treatment. And those pipes should have been given a support on the bottom with blocks before burying it so that the weight from the top doesn't press it down to force it to bend. There is a machine that blends all the toilet waste including the tissue paper when flushed to liquid to prevent it from blocking your sewage drain pipes. You can install this at the main joint where the toilet pipes connect to the septic tank or install one next to the toilets. You should have used a larger drain pipe looking at the capacity of your house.

I’m not a plumber but I am very handy. Consider a toilet macerator. Also did they compact the soil under the pipe and add gravel to keep it level? If not it could sink again when it rains or the soils settles. Having a clean out should also be a priority. You can snake it or use a pipe bladder to clean the pipes annually or when there’s a blockage.

I feel for you Dela. With regard to that sunken pipe, thats poor work that allowed that, but that aside Id leave some form of access point where they inserted the rod to unblock it. (A manhole cover of some type) Not aesthetically ideal, but Im betting at some point you might need to open it up again. The sight of the guy using a hammer and chisel to break his way in eiiiiiiiiiiii Ghana!

Why does everything have concrete on it? Once the concrete is removed and the issue fixed, I would not put concrete back on it. Grow grass or flowers over it so there will always be access to the pipes. Same with electrical and plumbing, there should always be access in case there is a problem to fix. Have u looked at Asher & Gad. He is an engineer,British Ghanaian and has a business that advises expats who are building in Ghana. He also on KZbin. Reach out he may be able to help.

Sorry you're having problems. In some rural areas in the US they have septics. I've never seen the pipes cemented over. They are usually filled in with dirt and grass grows over it. It is better to dig in dirt than to break up and replace expensive cement. Hope to all ends well.

Hello Madam you used the wrong resistance or pressure 4/6inch drain pipe. Next time buy a weight bearing pipe. please in future use heavy angle grinder and cut the concrete in sub-sections and the strong men can lift them. These lifted slabs could be used again. Finally, try and bury these sewage pipe in chipping , so that the weight of the top soil/rubbles not put pressure on the pipe. Or put wire mesh on them before filling the holes.

24ah is tiny so I think your reference to the inverter must be the dc voltage. I think you’ve got a 24volt inverter and an apartment shouldn’t use more than 5kwh of energy per day. Most likely the battery will be 3-5kwh each so a maximum of 6 or 10kw for a small apartment is adequate. 10-15kwh for a house. Also If you’re gonna walk the streets. I need my 30% as your security guard. I’m a fair person 😂😂😂😂
