I suggest The Expanse. Since you said it's going to be hard to do better than Lord of the Rings, I agree. The only thing that I could count as on par with Lord of the Rings is The Expanse, even though they are very different tones. The Expanse is a sci-fiction series that is 6 seasons long. Everything about the show is superb. Cinematography, music, acting, writing, effects, casting, prop work, set design, everything. The three standout things about The Expanse are the characters, the lack of tropes/cliches, and the attention to detail. The characters all behave like mature functioning adults, for instance, no one is suddenly stupid to move the plot forward. This also ties into the lack of common tropes and cliches. The Expanse doesn't really do cliches. Even their cliffhangers aren't like normal cliffhangers, they are so much better. And thirdly, the attention to detail is next level. Even after watching the entire series at least 10 times I can still find new things I didn't see before that are plot relevant at some point. This attention to detail also ties into one of the main themes of the show. This show isn't like Star Wars and Star Trek. There's no faster than light travel, no pew pew laser beams, no magic gravity, no shields. It's fairly realistic as far as science fiction goes. As a science nerd, this pleases me greatly to know the attention to realism and detail is there, but you also don't need to be a science nerd to understand what's happening. I would say you also don't have to be a fan of Science Fiction to enjoy the show, because the characters are so well written and like real people. In my opinion it's all downhill after Lord of the Rings and The Expanse. Two of the best pieces of cinematic media ever produced.

Hi Vic ♥ If you want to continue with the Lord of the Rings lore, then you can watch The Hobbit trilogy. Its a prequel to LOTR. But if you wanna watch something new for now, then there are many really great movies out there. Star Wars (first 4-5-6 and then 1-2-3), Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, and the Back to the Future trilogy are my favourites from the big ones. Shows: Game of Thrones is probably the best out there, but Fallout, Shogun, The Boys, and Stranger Things are the most recent ones. I personally can recommend Supernatural also, love it :) Single movies: I dont know, there are so many :D Kill Bill, 300, Blade, Ted, Shrek, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, it really depends what type of movie you like and wanna watch. You pick anything, i will be here and watch them with you :P Take care ♥ (Oh, and if its over, how was the archery championship? Did you win it right? :P)

Okay well it depends on what you’re in the mood for my friend. As far as movies go….. you can try ABOUT TIME if you like romcoms, if you’re interested in sci-fi mixed with a fantastic love story I’d go with THE ARRIVAL. Comedy I crack up at LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE. As far as series go my favorite series ever made is BAND OF BROTHERS just because I’m a veteran of the army and it’s the closest thing on film to the actual truth I’ve ever seen! But that may be too heavy for your taste ma’am. If it is maybe try my 2nd And 3rd place series that I absolutely love PEAKY BLINDERS is an amazing series with my favorite character of all time (Thomas Shelby) or THE LAST OF US was wonderful as well. A few of my favorite movies- Moon, District 9, V for Vendetta, the Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Some good classic horror movies include Alien, the Shining, & Saw (the first one). If you like animated movies, there are lots of good ones too. A few of my personal favorites are Wall-E, Rattatouille, Lilo & Stitch, & Chicken Run. But you would probably also get a lot of views for classic disney animation, like Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, the Lion King, or the Little Mermaid. I wouldn't say Im voting for those, but they are good movies with artistic style, & might be a fun & wholesome break between more intense or mature movies (not to mention they are very nostalgic for a lot of people, which usually translates to lots of views).

I would suggest a comedy. Something totally unexpected and a title that most reactors probably don't even know exists... "Three O'Clock High" from 1987. It's cinematically creative, it's clever, it's quirky, and it's a cult classic. I would not at all be surprised if director Edgar Wright (known for The Cornetto Trilogy and "Spaced") drew some inspiration from this comedy gem for his style of filmmaking. "Three O'Clock High's" visual aesthetic was created by Barry Sonnenfeld, who went on to be director of photography on the Coen Brothers' classic "Raising Arizona" and director of such well known films as "Men In Black" and "The Addams Family."
