There is a difference between making excuses and telling the truth about what happened in the fight. Nate and Nick always give fairly short, concise and truthful answers about their view of things, and thats all you can really hope for. I love their style, their skills and their huge hearts when it comes to their profession. Never been knocked out either, that says volumes....

+Greg Washington both of them weighed 170, that is true. however, nate and conor are really 155lbers. nate is a little longer and taller, but conor has more muscle, they are about even. and conor was in camp, he should have been READY for 5 rounds. instead, he gassed in the second. How is not cutting weight going to hurt your cardio? he didn't have time to actually pack on muscle, it was purely a case of him not training right and being scared; he was worried he could not knock nate out. and he was right, he couldn't. so he basically folded and gave up, became a panic wrestler, gave nate his back. he gave up. how's he gonna win a real war like that? and think about this; nate clearly beat conor, after taking some heavy shots. nate lost to RDA, a decision, but a lop sided one. what makes you think that conor could have beat RDA? no real way to argue that at this point. conor has been KILLING himself to make 145, he should have been in 155 all along. but then he would not have gotten his red panties. I respect mac for his skill, but he should shut up and do it right. clean out 145. vacate the division and belt. fight 3 top 10 155lbers. if he can do that, then let him fight for the belt. but he can't even beat nate on 11 days notice. he's good, but he's also kinda fake, UFC sold you wolf tickets, son, and you bought them.
@stillnessinmovement
@stillnessinmovement 8 жыл бұрын
+Greg Washington if conor had been outclassed by nate's size, like nate was pushed around by Kim, I would agree that the weight was an issue. but it wasn't. if conor took 4 months to bulk up, got really big, then cut down and had shit cardio, I would say that the weight messed him up but that isn't what happened. wait until conor fights someone who really IS bigger than him, and he gets ragged dolled like royce did in some of those early fights, then you will see what a weight difference does. what you saw in this fight was nate's superior boxing, greater heart, and greater stamina. we did not really even get to see nate's BJJ, that choke was a gimme, conor was DONE.

Diaz does have knockouts and does like to stand, but most of the time he doesn't go all out, which is what I would consider brawling. It's pretty well known he sets a pace throwing punches at about 50%, which he can sustain for the entire fight. He usually drags his opponents into deep waters and then drowns them. One of his best attributes is his cardio, which is hardly what you would expect of someone who is a street fighter.

Most MMA fans don't even contain the skillset to defend their families or themselves at that. They sit at home on their couch living vicariously through one man beating up another man. Until the fights over and its back to their shitty below average lifestyle. I think that people should get a life of their own instead of trying to live through others. That's just my thought.

They already fought, although not sanctioned and not one on one. Diaz kicked Mayhem in the head after a Jake Shields fight. I guess you could say he didn't step up to him, more like he stepped on him. What was Diaz supposed to do move up to 185 to fight him? I don't think Miller could make welter weight, he looks pretty gaunt making 185. Miller is a legit fighter not an amateur as you stated in a different post. There should be an intelligence test prior to being allowed to post.

Did you even see the Condit-Diaz fight? That fight was practically a draw. Condit did not decisively win that fight. I guess you could say that Condit kicked Diaz's ass, but it wouldn't be fair to say that without saying that Diaz kicked his ass, too. Diaz is a legit MMA fighter and to say otherwise proves your ignorance. I don't think he ever completely quit smoking weed, just long enough to not test dirty and in the Gomi fight he didn't even do that.

I'm not disputing the fact that the Diaz bros may possibly be nice people outside of the sport. However, they've a history w/ exercising poor judgement & clearly have anger management issues. During the pre & post interviews Nick stated he didn't know nor did he like why people portrayed him as this "bad guy". Yet he continues to act like a thug. If he wants this to change stop getting in fights outside the octagon, stop giving the finger to fighters, act like a responsible adult & not a teen.
