Alr, so here’s an explanation. As you can see, Baldi is attempting to off himself by doing the actions it clearly warns not to do. Each time he does this, his attempt fails being further stated with the word “error”. He turns around, (being one of the actions it says not to do,) in a final attempt to off himself. However, when he does turn around he finds that player (I think) saw him doing this. The players initial reaction is sadness and shock, being that Baldi is literally trying to end his life. Hope that helps!

Fun fact: your the bad guy who broke inside the school and Baldi suspects you so making sure your not an imposter he gives you a math problem that only his students only know and you get it wrong so he trys to turn you in so in reality Baldi is just trying to protect his students from you also thats why when you collect all 7 notebooks he says "Get out while you still can " he is basically saying that before the police come Hope this helps ( also this was confirmed )
