You could alternatively purchase a chrome slip-on oil filter cover and paint it. It could be moved to the new oil filter every time you replace it.

Interesting idea…I’d be a bit concerned that it would slip off during traveling then cause issues in the motor? Not sure if that would happen?

As many miles I put on a car it really didn't matter what color it was because it was coming off in 5 days for a 3,500 mile oil change. Don't drive that much now. Great Idea Tina & it looks super.

WIX filters are gloss black. Amsoil filters are painted a satin black. Might save a step.

If any of the Model A parts house wanted to they could reach out to Donaldson or Parker Baldwin or the Luberfiner brand and as long as they buy 300 at a time they can get them pre-painted and even a logo. For a living I buy filters for a very large mining equipment company. I know how this industry works works

Very nice job with the oil filter, and it looks like you have the genuine Motorcraft part. A lot of counterfeit parts out there. A good husband knows when to keep quiet. Hey Paul they make an Airbag vest if it makes you feel safer 🤣

They are real. I used them when I was a Honda supper bike racing along with a full-face helmet and leathers. I crashed once at 150 MPH into the dirt on the side of a mountain, sliding 75 yards, and was okay.🤔🤕 @@Modeltshinn

What's your opinion? I noticed Ford oil filter FL1A what is marked made in Taiwan or Pakistan; wherever. However, the black oil filters in the yellow and black boxes made by Wix are from North Carolina. Is the American made idea something of a day gone by? Otherwise, I didn't know if you knew there wasn't already black filter that is made here in the United States

Hi! I looked at the box on the oil filter, it says made in the USA…we will investigate more, cause we definitely want USA made things when possible for sure. We try to get what’s on sale too.
