You have explained the problem faced by the many teens like me who comes from a conservative family very diligently. While talking to parents, even if we put our ego aside still they are not ready to let you do what you actually want to do, turning yourself into a rebel kid. It becomes suffocating and all you are left with is just act happy of what your parents want you to do and adjust.

It’s still hard to deal with parents not understanding my views of live, my relations on things.. but I’m trying 😢 and I feel wise in it that opens for me slowly. Because nevertheless they love me, without fully understanding of me, and the most painful thing is that they don’t need to understand all of it. Just don’t. It’s the hardest thing to admit. Like they don’t care about me, but at the same time they worry about my teeth health, my sleeping schedule, do I have enough money… just damn 😢

Do agree with you but not all parents are same. Being loyal and listening to them has been done but with nothing to get except for underestimated criticism and comparisons with siblings, friends and others . In this case one remains confused as to how to take the next leap even after doing lot of homework. It's not that I have done mistakes but when try to talk out i am the one to b blamed always for not having done anything properly. Everyone does mistakes, right. Yet who is weak and vulnerable or can be easily stressed, is always pointed at. I am pulled down often with no one to listen to. So i rebel and then i am tagged as a nasty person. My confidence vanishes and feel so low that I don't have the courage to pull myself up. Still I am working on my dream and want to follow my heart after lot of stressful experience. My eyes have been wet while watching ur video. It's not that I don't care about my parents or their words but I cannot be always wrong. Yet they don't pay a damn heed to. So i need to walk my own path, it would b great if u share some of ur views as well. Thank you for your wonderful video

I am glad for You, that you managed it. And the idea first make a little money and then buying expensive equipment, is a good advice. But it work not very often. The boyfriend of my daughter is perhaps 40 years. I think he is too lazy to work. He tries for 2 years to make money with a channel for explaining games. Maximal 100 follower is his result. I never believe in him. OK it is their life and my daughter asks seldom for money.

Soon after i completed high school. Even though my ideas were half baked, My parents were in a hurry to find universities for me. We would visit various educational fairs and talk to university agents. Basically just do everything to look up Universities.I was really confused, leading me to agree to everything they said. I was still not confident about my career prospects and requested extra time to decide. But that too wasnt permitted as they already invested money and I had the fear of letting it down the drain. The process continued for 2 whole years until I was able to decide my dreams, but still my parents prefer I study in the same location they invested in. Therfore, I would conclude by saying that it is equally my fault and my parents fault. I was not being able to decide my career and my parents would be confused by me and do things in a buzz

Convincing your parents is not extremely hard when you have results to show. If you want to pursue a certain career path and then you can give proof of how this is working for you, you can do a better job of convincing your parents. Lastly, you should not complain and live under their roof at the same time.
