Having finished Sons of the Father (volume 10 of the first Starman trade collection) by feb 20, 2018, this video is like a time capsule. Most like the ones in this comic, of times past, and one of the few videos in youtube, to this day, that takes time to dive deep in the saga of Jack Knight and Opal City.

Watching this and these guys is pure comic book heaven....one of my favorite series in comics, I loved how it was self contained and Opal City is simply amazing.

BRILLIANT VIDEO, GUYS! OK, I'm 11 years behind, but this video still holds up extremely well. I'd love to see a follow-up, though! Cover more in-depth issue #37 (which should've won an Eisner, BTW!) - as it goes into the relationships Ted had with some lesser knowns, like the Red Bee. Also, the Girlfrenzy one-shot with The Mist was crazy, but awesome!

Do the omnibus editions include The Shade's Journal?

For the life of me, I can't figure out why DC just let's this character sit on it's shelves and doesn't do anything with it!

Because when agreeing on making this character (Jack Knight), DC signed an exclusive deal with James Robinson and Tony Harris that gives them the rights. Meaning DC will have to pay James Robinson and Tony Harris if they want to use him. That is also why we won’t see Jack Knight in the upcoming star girl-series, instead we’ll see Sylvester Pemberton (the former star spangled kid) acting as Starman.

George Williams It’s out of respect since Jack Knight’s story is done.

@astraton probably they get paid to advertise on the podcast but not on the videos.
