I’d say yes! It’s smaller so you’ll hit gaps more easily, it’s lighter and it’s faster ;) definitely an upgrade!

Yes it will! The ducts could easily hang to some branches, that's one downside you need to be careful about.

Clear and precise review. But talking about the Alpha85hd (that you reviewed aswell) I am like the idea of going through tight gaps without people knowing I'm there. I mean I really like this protek25 but being so loud is a drawback IMO, but the stability/performance has to be much better than the Alpha. So well, here I am hesitating between them. Thank you!

Protek 25 is for naked (stripped down) GoPros, Protek 35 for full GoPro camera. It really depends what you plan to fly it with :) Both are great options!

How does this compare to the taycon 25 ? :) the taycan has 5000kv tho from what I've seen. How do you think the protek 25 would fly with the 5000kv motors from the mamba? more controllable i imagine and effeciency i imagine but could be wrong. asking because i have just the frames right now and only have access to the mamba 1404 5000kv motors. They are quite similar in my opinion. The Chimera is definitely a bit more low-key as it's a lot more quieter, but it doesn't have prop guards. Both are very tiny! And yeah i suppose you can achieve same results with both, really depends if you'd push the Chimera in really tight spaces without prop guards (I would lol)

😂 Yeah I believe the drone would be great for a complete beginner! As for the GoPro - it’s the regular cost of a gopro6, you just strip it down (there are lots of tutorials on KZbin and it’s not hard to do) and as for the weight, sorry I can’t say as I don’t have a scale at home right now but it’s pretty light!

its heavy.. protek35 i can forgive weight because 3.5" high pitch props.. but this is 175g analog (109g no prop guards). It is 5500kv but weighs 75% more. Wish I could test it just to see how it feels.. or atleast DVR to see throttle % .. Wouldnt be flying outdoors in wind much.

You can only use the big black controller, no other DJI controllers can be used unfortunately. The Inspire controller can’t be used either. Best of luck 🙌🏼

I wanted to try the real thing before spending the $$ on a big one with DJI HD and a bunch of batteries. Also the TinyHawk will be a good thing to use for extra practice.
