Real friends demand nothing of one another; actual friends simply, "enjoy being in the presence of each other." -- But if you're speaking of respect, then I would find that more agreeable. And mind you, this fight was nothing more than a tremendous cash-grab for Tyson Fury, that he felt he couldn't pass up, when they approached him to take a non-title fight against Francis. Sure, Francis got 10mil(USD) -- but Fury got a "guaranteed 50mil(USD) + PPV cuts" to take this fight, which is Tyson's biggest payday ever... including all his fights against Wilder "combined."

Almost as if they’re downplaying Francis by saying Tyson must’ve not been up to form, ect. He’s more than happy to give Francis is props as a boxer, and how well he done in the fight. Just because he wasn’t on his best form on the night, that does not equate to Ngannou being not good. It was the same when he came back from the lay off in first fight against Wilder. Fury needs to keep training an stay focused on fights an he performs to his best. He batters Ngannou in a rematch and beats Usyk after this as it’s woken up the beast in him. Things like this make people into better fighters. You learn very little from winning all the time. It made Fury complacent, and he walked into the ring, thinking he could win on ego and self-confidence alone. If he does fight again, this will cause him to be more focused. It's also worth not underestimating the danger of walking into the unknown. Boxers usually watch footage of their opponents as part of the preparation, but on this occasion there was no footage to see.

He never calls himself the greatest boxer ever, he never compares himself to the greats in a disrespectful manner. His a proper boxing fan. As for Nganou his a warrior did people honestly think Fury was going to go in there and batter him??? No heavyweight is destroying him, they may knock him out but no way is he the type of fighter who gets bullied. I mean he was UFC champion for god sake does that not mean anything? Even Connor gave Mayweather a tough time. Stupid casuals showing up for one fight and making stupid comments. If you don't watch boxing or UFC then your opinion counts for very little since you would never understand how a fight can go. The are clearly a skeptics in the replies, but I intuited the same thing at that exact moment as well. The man has clearly been humbled. Perhaps I'm wrong, and Tyson's champion spirit is supplying him enough cognitive dissonance and self belief to convince himself that defeat really was a victory, so he doesn't lose heart, but perhaps not. If not, and he's living in reality, that was a glimpse of it.

Not taking anything away from Ngannou, but stop with the mental gymnastics trying to defend Fury. He's an embarrassment.

All this nonsense about Francis getting robbed is boring now 🙄 Fury rightfully won the fight, the stats show it for all to see. And claiming Tyson underestimated Francis is laughable. Why are people saying Francis proved the world wrong after this fight?? 🤔 what were people expecting? I knew 100% before this fight Francis was going to give Tyson a REALLY hard night in that ring, he did, and Tyson knew it also. People are talking like Francis is some KZbinr making his debut in the ring 🙄 he’s a very experienced MMA fighter, built like a brick wall with one of the hardest punches known to man.. of course he was going to give Tyson problems, everybody with half a brain knew this before the fight even started! Proved the world wrong what a joke!! Anyway, rant over. Respect to both fighters, I’m glad Tyson won but I’m also very excited for Francis’s new boxing career I’ll be cheering him on every fight, as I’ll do with Tyson. Other than Fury, I don’t think Francis can be stopped, he’s a beast!! Look forward to the rematch too 🤙

For me his reaction is how you would imagine he would be after a loss, even though he got the decision it’s almost like he knows there’s a real legitimate case for him losing. All the money he was paid and he cancels the post fight press conference as well. They couldn’t stay away from a camera all week in the build up. All the credit goes to Ngannou and Tyson looks like a deflated man. I will say it was genuinely an entertaining fight regardless.
@michaelmckie9164 Жыл бұрын
I don’t think he genuinely feels like he lost, I watched it back without commentary and he’s was right - he lost maybe 3 rounds with one a 10-8 but he did with the fight with his boxing. I think he is deflated as he genuinely thought it would be an easy night and he could do as he wished… the knockdown will feel like a loss but I don’t think he actually feels he lost the fight.

Amen. I was excited for this fight and had to control my breathing while watching it, that was before Ngannou put Fury on his back! I said a quick prayer beforehand that both of them would have a good fight and not get injured. These guys might be giants with the power of monsters but they're still human like the rest of us, there's only so much they can take before falling unconscious or being permanently damaged. That's what makes HW fights so exciting though, right?

Gotta love this guy. He was definitely surprised by Francis’s ability and power, but he still out pointed him just like he probably expected. Very similar to other tough fights he’s had. I imagine it’s like playing poker against a rookie playing seriously for the first time… very difficult with no history to base your strategy on, with awkward style and difficult readability.
