I'm telling a story of loneliness, repetitiveness, and dread in my music. While I believe Covid was quite a scary time, I felt it'd be right to go for a more emotional route to embody all of the other feelings of loss, loneliness and hopelessness felt during that time.

JUDGE FEEDBACK:
This approach to the film was quite unique. The melancholy of your score aligned well with the narrative, and I especially appreciated how you developed your theme throughout. Overall, your work was very effective.
00:06 @ The Way the Store
You did a great job establishing the tone of the film here. I also appreciate your attention to the person in the window, which will be significant later on. The subtlety of this choice was effective.
01:04 @ Reaching the Store
As the man leaves the store, there’s a subtle yet tense moment when the guard pulls a gun on him at 1:21. However, the man’s lack of visible panic while continuing to walk alone through the empty supermarket suggests that the music should remain consistent. At this point, the music became a bit too bold, which was somewhat distracting since the film’s situation remained unchanged.
01:36 @ Leaving the Store
A crucial moment in the film occurs when the man walks through the security checkpoint and the guard points a gun at him, creating a subtle unease for the audience. Given the man\'s consistent, depressed pace, the music should balance tension with a sense of loneliness and normalcy. This is a challenging aspect of the film, and while your work was strong overall, this particular narrative element could have been more effectively highlighted.
01:56 @ The Way Back Home
Good job here.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
You did an excellent job setting the mood for the film. As film composers, it\'s important to align closely with the narrative. While the music was well-crafted, there were opportunities to better highlight some of the crucial aspects of the film.
